I couldn't initially log on either. I just went to "Login" in the main menu and it seemed to connect fine (although it took quite a while).

Nah I just do Versus against the CPU on difficulty 1. It's just that they create these challenges as if we're paying attention to every detail in the stage.

It's a funny observation that's all.

I hope they make another couple stages for use during the finals of the the cpt major events hate it being essentially locked to that arena stage at the end I find it kind of boring.

Also as much as I love Guile I think Du should make a costume for Mika, one with a championship belt would be fitting.

Just woke up (fucking alarm didn't work lol). Any Birdie balance changes found out? I read about faster hk dive but nothing else.

Was anybody else watching the viewer count? I saw it peak at 137k during the GF and then it hit 140k about a few minutes after it ended before plummeting hard. And this is the main stream along with all the restream in different languages. It's not much but it's nice to see an increase this year over last year. I'm sure the all American GF helped out.

I hope this along with Akuma and the balance changes gives the game some momentum going into next year.

The PSX build's DP change is all kinds of weird. Don't know what to think of it. On one end they're making it way harder to get meaties with v-reversals and throws putting you far away but on the other, meaties are way better since the opponent can't mash out an invincible without meter.

As for the new characters, I really like that they at least look to be taking risks with that. It would've been far easier just to start adding the remaining cast from previous games and calling it a day so I'm glad that they didn't do that.

Are we back to concern trolling by speculating there won't be more than 2 seasons, even though Capcom was saying all throughout the year that SFV would be supported for years, and them more recently stating the game would be supported till 2020. And yet, we still have some who continue to doubt them.

Don't look at me. I already know that SFV will be supported for a couple of years. Just that some folk love to whine the loudest, it seems.

Yeah, they're probably not gonna add a character whose gimmick is being fat after Birdie already has it as a gimmick.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. I really hope there's some stuff to be datamined in the December update. It's your time to shine again Scrub Mcgrubb!!

It's a ballsy move Capcom is making with Season 2, but I applaud their courage for not bringing any old favorites this season, I'm excited to see more.

Man, after a bunch of time I've spent on Alex, I'm still better with Bison.

I think it's the normals. I just have such a hard time with Alex's buttons compared to Bison's.

Alex's normals are much better suited as pokes and as footsie tools.

Bison is straight up Offense with those in-your-face, frametrap normals.

No I don't think it's dumb. It's a bold move and perhaps they could have had only 3 new characters out of the 6 but seeing as it's Capcom and they know how to design unique and refreshing characters such as FANG, Laura and Rashid I'm excited to see what they deliver.

They still have that "sneak peek" at the balance patch, they might unveil some stuff there. Though I wouldn't hold out for arcade mode this month, maybe later on.

Exactly. If they can create innovative characters such as your main then I think we need to keep an open mind. SF3 introduced a lot of newcomers like Sean, Oro and Q and they are still loved by some to this day and the same could happen here with the brand new fighters. Can't wait to see our new world warriors.

Of course its your opinion man, it's just I felt a little disrespected when you said it was dumb no matter which way someone can look at it when we know that's not true. It's all subjective at the end of the day.

Well they have a wide variety of choices when it comes to classic characters that are already in the game and if they don't come back even after seeing Akuma then I doubt they would have anyway. I feel like characters can only go as far however if you like how the game plays then that's what matters in the long run.
