Stupid question; how do I format a paper for double spacing?

Ok, I'm sure this is really stupid, but I have a mid-term due next week, and the instructions say the paper should be typed in "double-space", now, I'm not well versed when it comes to the word processing, but my initial instinct was thinking that "double-space" actually meant, literally, two spaces between each word, but I can't find a parameter in the word processor (I'm using Corel Word Perfect 12) that actually fits that specific task. Or, is double-space actually like, a line break between each line? Because there is something under Formatting called "change line spacing", which, if I set it to 2.0, makes each line have another line break between it.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about, exactly? If so, any help would be greatly appreciated.
