Subsidized Caffeine

Hey now. Don't knock the soda drinkers. I have a hopeless addiction to them and I won't be soda shamed lol

Hey, I have no issues with it. I love some Coke! Especially some of the side flavors every now and then like Orange Vanilla.

But if you work in an office building and want to pretend to be an adult like everyone else pretending, you drink coffee, and no matter how much cream and sugar you put in it, you claim to love drinking it black!

Real talk. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Why does life taste like death?

You might want to look at your brewing method if that's the case. The biggest mistake people make is is to use straight up boiling water on Coffee. Whereas you ideally want to use water that's close to but not boiling. Personally, I go for around 90°C (194°F) but your local Barista will probably favour 96°C (205°F) which is widely regarded as the optimal brew temperature for maximum flavour and minimal bitterness.

Should have stuck to lurking, it suited you better.

Judging by the responses so far GAF apparently doesn't seem to be so big on the sugared water versus the accused coffee (who knew?). Yet rather than taking it on the chin, you seem more inclined to rally against it for some reason.

What Coffee exactly? Mellow Birds?
I really not following you here. I should have stayed lurking because peoples responses have been perceived by you, as going against my opinion (somehow) and now I'm "rallying" against them/it!? I was curious why companies (ones I've been to/worked for) gave away free drink one one certain variety over the other. People have chimed in and gave adequate reasoned responses. I'd like you to quote me showing me not taking it on the chin and rallying against someone or something. This was my first thread made out of curiosity and was having fun reading and responding, you however seem to want to be uber serious.

1.) There haven't been any studies that show moderate amounts of coffee consumption os bad for you. Soda and energy drinks have been shown to have negative effects.

2.) Coffee is inexpensive.

Holy fucking shit dude. far from it.

My first post was just a quick spin on this famous film scene : -

You can drink Sugared water all you want. No one gives a shit. The simple reason why your company likely doesn't spring for canned diabetes for free is probably that pound for pound (or Dollar for Dollar if you're so inclined) it's a lot more expensive to buy even wholesale versus a bag of filter coffee or a box of tea-bags in terms of consumption. Next time you're in the supermarket go check the price of a bag of quality Java and then weigh that up against how much the same amount of caffeine would cost in cans of Coke.

Please continue to meltdown more though, it's generating some quality lulz

every time I see a new post in this thread I'm like: -

*Sips Coffee*

I've learned a while ago to detach my name and photos from anything online, this, facebook, etc. Already had a few scuffles with my work due to my propensity for shit posting.

There's no reason to be shitting on the guy, Kad.

Sure EL. I don't really feel I'm saying anything others haven't echoed already in the thread though (Coffee cheap, Sode expensive). Still, as I've gone full Shaolin this morning (Goodbye raggy Lockdown Crew-Cut, hello Razorblades)

I'm feeling suitably zen and chill. I'll leave it be.
