Duly noted.Oddly, it becomes a different show in season 2 in terms of certain themes, tone and writing but it's where the show stands out for me. Season 1 feels like a hit and miss but there's some good moments. It's kind of why I don't openly recommend it as much as I want to.
Totally agree with the rankings but just wait until more of the idols are introduced.
You meant...done by Amazon and/or Netflix. They want to dominate anime!

If someone does not announce the licensed Konosuba and RE: Zero (for dub and home release) at this weekend's Otakon, I will lose my shit.
Bahamut really has some... unconventional opening song choices.
It is strangely catchy, yeah.Confession: Sometimes I watch to the latest one on repeat.
I mean:

This show continues to be fucking hilarious, it's my highlight every freaking week and will most definitely be my anime of the season. Juju turningwas god damn hilarious. Hero and Kukuri are the best.psycho priest
I have a feeling the comedy in the older anime is much more downplayed, so I'll enjoy this for the comedy and watch the other one for the plot.
According to ANN, Crunchyroll got the license to those series so I imagine if a dub gets announced, Crynchyroll would hold off to their own con they're having at the end of the month.
I wouldn't say the 1994 anime downplays comedy in favor of a more serious plot; rather, its delivery of its comedy is fairly relaxed compared with the hyperactivity of the 2017 anime. 1994 has a children's storybook tone, without being especially serious.
Now animenewsnetwork.com is displaying a the date and time with the word Anime.
No one deserves Kaneki's faith.
Fuck having a centipede crawl in your ear.

Tokyo Ghoul is an awful, awful show.
That romance is so weird and awkward and complicated.
How did their twitter accounts get compromised as well as well, and how are our accounts not compromised either.
They probably used their @animenewsnetwork.com mail addresses for Twitter and whoever took over the domain could just get password reset mails![]()

Eh, trashy episode focusing on fan service and getting closer to the girls, I want more WAY too overpowered MC shit.
Just one more Haibane Renmei episode to go, and I'd say it's been a great show so far. I particularily like how everything is subdued and not as obnoxiously loud as I've grown accustomed to in more modern series while still having its share of dramatic and cathartic moments.
Why would someone target ANN?

Certainly they've been hit by DDOS attacks before, which is why they moved behind cloudflare.
Who knows why any sites are attacked. Could be simply anime haters targeting well known anime sites. Same reason Crunchyroll gets DDOSed.
Or its simply someone going after Zac and Jacob due to umm gender politics.
Got home to work so I was able to make a gif out of my Favorite Tsurezure Children moment today.

You're Under Arrest, File.1 - 10
I like this show, but I'm curious what people think of the character of Aoi through a modern lens. If you're unaware, let me lay it out for you: it's an anime, it's from the 90's, and she's a trans woman. So immediately you're thinking this probably isn't going to go well, and when she's first introduced, it does seem like she's just going to be a joke character. Basically, haha she's a woman that dresses like a man and acts feminine, bathroom panic ensues. But then after that first episode, the rest of the cast seems to accept her and the fact that she is trans is rarely brought up, although (because this is the 90's) it is an occasional punchline. I just was wondering, given the time period, if she could be considered an early positive LBGTQ character in anime, or if people just consider her portrayal tasteless and crass.
I'm guessing CR would let Funi do the dubbing given their partnership, right? Also still no word if I'm not mistaken on the Kabaneri dub.
Kind of hope Konosuba sounds just as great given the comedy, lol
Funi should be handling the home video rights then.
