You're perfect gamepass material.Perfect Gamepass material
I am not that cheap. You're perfect gamepass material.
I think this is the most humiliating profit they could have made.
Further evidences why some third parties are staying away unless Xbox pays upfront for the port via Game Pass. Not a good sign for the ecosystem if one of its only lauded exclusives last gen made 400 odd quid.
your posts are as low quality as most of the Gamepass fodder though. especially in PC threads, put that shit in the bargain binI am not that cheap.
It does make sense. Lots of games are made for one platform and make a profit (more than £400).That doesn't make sense. It made so little profit because it wasn't multiplatform. The $50 million revenue basically just covered the cost to make it. Any port - the revenue would have been almost straight profit - likely why they released a deeply belated PC port.
the only difference is that one sold consoles and the other didn't
??? I have both, i play the games not onsoles, i drink the tea, not the cup.Wrong platform though.
I guess Ratchet & Clank didn't get the memo. That game is $8 million in the hole.It does make sense. Lots of games are made for one platform and make a profit (more than £400).
Yeah. If this $567 bucks is money left over after paying for the production, then it seems like not too bad a deal. Sure, it's not ideal by a long shot, but everyone working on the game got to keep a roof over their heads and food in their families bellies. At least everyone got paid
I mean, I'm sure it did sell some consoles. It was one of the few Xbox exclusives I remember missing.the only difference is that one sold consoles and the other didn't
For information with the recent data now we know that Ratchet was profitable because for the fiscal Year 2021, the game had made $145,000,000 and it's budget was around $80,000,000.Ratchet made negative money and is getting another sequel

Dun... dun... Console war-ring!!, dun... dun, what is it good for.... absolutely no ting!
You tell me bro.I mean. It's still better then Rift Apart...
It was actually profitable in the end. Some time in Feb 2022 they updated the figure to 2.72 million copies with a reported $145 million in sales against an $81 million budget.I guess Ratchet & Clank didn't get the memo. That game is $8 million in the hole.
the only difference is that one sold consoles and the other didn't
Leaving out which is whichthe only difference is that one sold consoles and the other didn't
Legitimately hilarious and should serve a stark warning to Sony to get their dev times/costs in line.I guess Ratchet & Clank didn't get the memo. That game is $8 million in the hole.
And why they're signing up with GamePass and Epic.500 bucks off of $50 million in revenue. Shows why so many studios want to be bought out.
Ratchet made negative money and is getting another sequel
What a shame, such a great game.Following the recent devastating leak from a ransomware attack, Insomniac Games’ future has been laid out for the internet to see. Everything from in-development games to the firm’s internal, aspirational roadmap, and employee information was released by malicious operators who attempted to secure millions of dollars for the data.
In a financial document, the development costs, sales, and shares for every game Insomniac has worked on for years were revealed in full. It was noted by eagle-eyed gamers that Sunset Overdrive, the 2014 game co-developed by Insomniac Games, has netted the company just $567 in profit since it was released.
Sunset Overdrive Made Insomniac Just $567 Profit
It has been revealed that Sunset Overdrive made Insomniac Games just $567 since being released back in 2014, but why?insider-gaming.com

Thats $8 million more than the last Ratchet & Clank netted. Impressive.
Uhm... Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart as of the last week of Feb 2022 is at $145M net sales with a total budget of ~$81M so it def not made 'negative money'.Ratchet made negative money and is getting another sequel
Perfectly budgeted. Keeps the lights on employees paid and making a game that they love! And they can buy a few series s's for Christmas gifts!!! The worst part of these all these leaks recently is that there is no new inFamous or Killzone or in Insomniacs case, no new Resistance games at allYeah, Infamous, specially 2, is better.
But still, for a new ip it had potential. The gameplay was fun and I enjoyed it a lot.
In the same way that Infamous 2 was a huge upgrade to the original Infamous, a sequel for this game could be amazing.
It's nice that you want to share with us your daily makeup routine, but I don't think this is the place for that.
Did you even read the tweet?
What was misinterpreted?Yea, did you? Everyone was saying this morning that it lost 8M but apparently it was misinterpreted. Nobody is a clown here except you.
