Super Best Friends |OT19| Three-Fifths of a Thread

To be fair, he's apparently involved in some game development stuff now, which is something he always said he wanted to do.

I'm pretty interested to see what he is working on. When I think of games Liam could possibly be developing, I think of a Magical Girl character action game with a deep card game sub system.

Jesus fucking christ, the world of Policenauts is the fucking creepiest fucking future.

The cloned escorts thing was just....ugh.

I know Kojima likes pretty girls, who doesn't? but the lengths he goes to justify that shit is just....fuuuuuuuuuck

At this point his raging boner is actually undermining the things I do like about him.

Which is weird as MGS3 handled that stuff pretty well. Then again MGSV handled it abysmally.

I mean if he's a lot less stressed, has time now to do what he loves, and just has a better quality of life, is it really dumb?

Considering he's doing pretty much the same things he was before and/or could have done these things while still being at least partially affiliated with the group, it does seem poorly thought out.

I initially thought he was going to go on to make his own content and carve out his own niche, and while he does seem to be working on his own side projects now, the fact that he decided to go into full time low effort streaming + continuing to do LPs with some of the guys is pretty disappointing.

Gee, it's almost as if we aren't privy to all the details as to why Liam headed out on his own and what his prospects are. :P

Liam doing occasional Let's Plays with the guys on their off channels has me hoping we get Liam and Woolie playing Danganronpa V3

this realization is barf worthy

No it goes a step BEYOND. The whole fact that "rebirthers" only existence from birth is to be a sex object, the fact that they dont even speak means theyre bred like cattle solely to be fuck toys for a bunch of rich assholes. That's 10 more levels of fucked than simple sex slaves.

Lord jesus

Is it just me, or would a Policenauts localization have just annihilated Kojima's rep back in the day?

Maybe that was the other reason why the publisher didn't even try, besides cost. Would your US partners want to be associated with the fucked up shit in this game?

It's a pretty good example of when Japanese creative types' tendency to not reign things in goes wrong.

Wasn't Woolie the one who got them to do Policenauts, as well?

I feel like Woolie might make good calls for full group and Woolie/Pat LPs, though. Like, I think Woolie had some say in doing LA Noire, which I feel turned out pretty well?

It just feels like Matt x Woolie is the combo that gets the "leftover" LP options now that Liam's gone.

Yeah i'm starting to think that. Hopefully its not just a leash , but him growing a person that got metal gear where it is now.

Quiet was a big step back, though. He was in a good spot in MGS3 land.

It seems like Death Stranding is going to have some familiar themes from policenauts "Frozeners" and "Rebirthers" especially since whatever mindfuckery alluded to in the trailers looks like it has some foundations in Kojimas previous games.

Im willing to bet that DS is Kojima at his most unhinged.

I'm curious, what, if any, LP do you guys rewatch regularly?

For me, its probably the first LP I watched way back when (5 years holy hell), Silent Hill: Downpour. I never get tired of it, and it feels like Matt and Pat at their best.

And so many great things! Tour Guide Nixon, "Train guy was drunk!", Pat's continual usage of "Murph!", etc.

I've rewatched Brawls multiple times
Other LPs there Best Of comps people make that i've seen like the Sadness trilogy and RE games etc

I tend to put some old LP's in the background as I sleep because insomnia is fun. Usually shitstorms, though recently I've been rewatching Cat Lady. I'm a fan of Woolie and Pat's dark adventures. Been meaning to rewatch something with Liam's voice in it cause I miss hearing it.

Their crossover LP for the Life is Strange DLC is great and vaguely sad because it has that classic Matt and Liam LP

What i miss is Liam knows how to play games...in a good way
It got to the point where it bacame 3 member LPs where Liam crushing it while the other 2 shoot the shit
Star Fox was boring but Liam's skills made it amazing

Probably some of the comps made by spookycookies, notably the sadness trilogy stuff. Though I miss their old ones, since the ones that are up now are reworked/re-edited versions of the original uploads.

For example, the Beyond: Two Souls LP is edited in chronological story order instead of the Best Friends episode order.

Ahh I've been meaning to watch BTS lately, forgot about it. I may watch that one.

Also I can't believe I forgot Matt and the Axe in my earlier post.

This PUBG video is kinda rough...

I'm glad they tried it, but Pat, who doesn't seem to know a ton, shouldn't be coaching Woolz, who knows nothing.

The best is in the beginning Woolie keeps asking him question, and Pat answers affirmatively first, and then corrects what Woolie should do.

Pat - So there's guns on the floor to pick up?

Woolie - I click on them to get them?

Pat - Yeah. Walk over and press F to pick them up.

Over and over, haha.

I love rewatching shitstorms

Rustlemania 1 was great and I like putting it on for background noise, haven't rewatched 2 yet

for full LP's, my favorite to rewatch is NBA2K16: Livin' Da Dream, followed by David Cage LP's, and Yakuza 4

i rebought a ps3 and dead space 1 and 2
