I'll add a little something to this thread. Right now at KB Toys we're having our "buy one, get one 50% off on all orange tag items" sale. So if you buy two orange tag clearance games of equal or lesser value, one should be half off. I was the one that spent all day yesterday pricing the games at my store, so I got a few choice picks for myself. Picked up Silent Hill 3 for $10, 1080 Avalanche for $0.50, Beyond Good & Evil for $0.50, and Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits for $5. A fellow employee of mine got Ico for $0.50 and Ace Combat for $1.00. :lol

Oh and SSX 3 for the Gamecube was priced down to $1, along with Eternal Darkness and 1080 Avalanche.

EDIT: Castlevania: Lament of Innocence for the PS2 was also priced down to $1, I'm trying to snag myself a copy today.

No kidding, we didn't have a good majority of this stuff in. Most stores are only going to have a couple of copies of these titles lying around, if any. I work at a tier three store, so the newest console game we had was Burnout 3. :|

But we get all the new PSP and DS games for whatever reason...but damn I would have killed for Donkey Konga with the bongos for $10. I'm considering getting Spider-Man 2 PSP for $10, but I'm not sure if it will be worth it.

It is happening at all stores, but not all stores will have these games. So you might be able to snag yourself something good. Depends on what kind of store you have near you.

The games I picked up all had price accurate marked down tags. They were also stashed in a bin, separate from the regular, behind the counter games.

This sale turned out to be a huge bust for me. I didn't see any of the games on the list. Plenty of sports games (mostly hockey...ugh), and a ton of Game.com titles for a dollar. I picked up DOA2 for Dreamcast.

The secret is to get the deals from Cheapassgamer.com before they're posted here, and to drop everything and run to the store immediately upon finding out about them. Note that Geek didn't start this thread until after cleaning out his local store. By the time you heard about it, your local stores were probably already picked clean by similar-minded folks.

I was just pointing out that you obviously found out about the deal on a deals site and jumped on it immediately, which is the best way to actually get some decent games out of these sorts of situations. I'd do the exact same thing in your position, and have many times, and I'm totally grateful that you started the thread here at all. Thanks!
