GMROnline lists three different SM64 soundtracks. The second one is the US version, and the JPN version has Mario wearing the wing cap to a white background. The top picture is probably the EU version of the CD.

I too have the second cover, from Nintendo Power.

Oddly enough, on a computer, the tracks are in capital letters but under their Japanese names.

Fair enough. Hey, does anyone know where I can get videogame sheet music incidentally? I'm particularly interested in Mario stuff. I have the sheet music to the Mario overworld theme as it was on the NES, but I was wondering what else is out there.

That video of the guy doing a medley of all sorts of Mario tunes on piano -- I don't know if he transcribed/figured-them-out himself, or whether he bought some music, but I know I want to play a lot of it too! I particularly love the Mario World soundtrack and Mario All Stars renditions of old-themes.

Well, there are actually books you can buy. Like this one that has the Super Mario Sunshine soundtrack for easy piano.

The Super Mario 64 soundtrack may still be in print in Japan, but the US one is long gone. Let me check.

The above link is the only one I saw on Amazon Japan that's Mario-related. Also, it seems as if the Super Mario 64 soundtrack is out of print, so barring a trip to Japan you will indeed have to go to eBay for a copy.

I have a weird three-disc soundtrack that has Mario 64, Starfox 64, and Mario Kart 64 on seperate discs. It's pretty interesting, but almost no appeal. Well, other than one of the tracks is "It'sa me, Mario!" and I can make that my default windows stop sound.

Mostly Doremi sheet music, which is just straight melodies with light accompaniment 9 times out of 10, but they aren't bad at all (I've got the Chrono Trigger and FF Tactics books myself).
