Super Mario Stadium new pics

please, please, please dont have some enjoyment-destroying mechanism like the power shots animations in Mario tennis. Please.

pretty please.

A Mario Baseball game makes much more sense than basketball or DDR clone. The characters are pretty much perfect for different styles of pitchers, batters, shortstops, outfielders ect. given their varying size, weight, speed and abilites. I haven't truly enjoyed a baseball game enough to constantly play it since the early days of RBI Baseball when it was still on the NES. Modern MLB games have gotten way to complicated and sim like making pitching an batting about as fun as watching c-span.

is this a joke

This was announced ages ago. Being shocked and insulted about its existence is about 4 months old. I think it looks great remeniscent of the older arcade baseball games like RBI and Little Leage which were tons more fun than most baseballs games of today.

I like Camelot. A lot. Hah.

Alls I know is, that I am really tired of seeing these damn games with Mario in them that aren't a Mario game. Ya dig? I just want a sequel to Super Mario 64. Please Nintendo, I have been waiting nine years. Don't let me down. Oh wait, you already have. Ok, don't let Mario fans down for too much longer! Oh, but I know you will. They'd better blow shit up come next Tuesday.

Hot diggity, there's a pianta baseball player. I hope there are a lot of other obscure Mario characters in the game to draw from, I want a wide selection to choose from to populate my teams. The best scenario would be if they included other Nintendo franchises in the game.

Wow people are still complaing about Mario in a baseball game, where the hell were yall 6 months ago, when it was annouced......

I was Christmas shopping, sorry.

Plus... I now understand the bitterness that courses through Cassamassina's veins.

I was still here, bitching about Nintendo going the completely wrong direction. I just didn't say anything. I can't hold it back anymore.

If it's a good game, why complain? Mario Tennis was great, and Namco is making this so...

OMG THEYRE WASTING RESOURCES. GIVE ME MARIO 128128128128128128!!!!111128

It's about FRIGGIN' TIME Mario signed up for baseball.

I wonder if Mushroom League Baseball has a ban on mushrooms and fireflowers

Looks awesome. I've been getting into Baseball lately, and typically Mario sports games have been much easier for me to enjoy. Mario Golf is possibly my most played title this gen. Let's hope Namco can deliver a unique experience.

Amazing that people bitch that Nintendo doesn't release any games but then when they make a game that isn't AAA quality people bitch that Nintendo is going in the wrong direction and that they shouldn't make it.

Here's a tip people STFU about your bitching. If you don't want the game then DO NOT BUY IT. Its that simple. I'm not getting this but if Nintendo listened to all the wackjobs on this board they would NEVER release a game because NOTHING is good enough for some of you people.

Nintendo making a baseball game has no effect on whatever else they do and it does not hurt, destory, or ruin any of the past franchises, current franchises or your childhood memories.

basketball, soccer, volleyball, and dodgeball...come on nintendo make it happen.
I would kill for a well done Mario dodgeball. In fact, this is sitting in my GBA as we speak:

I gotta agree with Shaheed79. I love the sport of baseball, but modern baseball video games do absolutely nothing for me. Overemphasis on TV-style presentation plus "simulation" aspects make them a huge bore to play. That goes for pretty much any "realistic" sports game that I've played in the last ten years. I loved Mario Golf and Tennis on N64 (haven't played the GC revs) and Mario Baseball looks like awesome fun. Definitely looking forward to it.

I agree with you. I want a fun baseball game like RBI on the NES, WSB on the Game Gear, or Baseball Simulator 1000.

And I hope it doesn't have the graphical feel of Mario Golf and Mario Tennis. I don't like they way they look and run, for some reason.

I will play this game. Hope even a rudimentary version is available next week at E3. I loves me some crazy baseball action.

Which is why I'm excited! Namco knows baseball games. Thank god the team that did Mario Tennis isn't touching this. Should be a blast.

Agreed. It's nice to know this game should be in capable hands. I played Mario Power Tennis for about a week before I turned back to my Dreamcast for the more satisfying tennis game.
