Super "NeoGAF Arcade Stick Thread" II TURBO

Persona and Xrd TE2s up for preorder on the madcatz site.

Just FYI, if anybody does, they will pre-authorize the card for the full amount and then refund it to your account 3-5 business days later.

Now I'm torn. I've had the Ultra SF IV stick preordered since they've opened it up, but I like the Guilty Gear color scheme better...

Does anyone know if they plan to sell the side panels? I only see the original TE panels on their site.

i really like the xrd TE2 stick and i have the ultra one on preorder. i mite cancel the ultra one a preoder the xrd one but them saying mid december and no release date is irritating. give us a release date because i want it before xrd comes out and not after.

I also don't want to order anything through Madcatz directly. Not only the points thing but I don't want them charging the full amount now even as an authorization confirmation.
I am just concerned about getting it delivered on time. Can't really play a game without a controller.

My new arcade stick!

I'm currently rockin' this Shadaloo stick that I got 5 or so years ago.

I want to get another one and have been looking at the Guilty Gear T.E.2 and the HRAP V4. The inside of the V4 looks so shoddy compared to the T.E. 2, but if I were to want to upgrade the PCB later on whenever they figure out the X1 and PS4 compatibility issues, which one would be the best one to work with?

Right now I'm leaning towards the T.E.2. It just seems like the Hori looks rushed on the inside.

I don't really like the TE2 body at all. It's too boxy and bulky looking. I'm sure part of that is to accommodate some of the features like the easy open and stuff, but still... :-/

I think the TE S is the best design Madcatz has put out.

Eh... Why not just change the arts and buttons? Lol. It's the same as the sf and persona sticks with different art and buttons.
The extra work and cost? I'd end up paying more honestly and screwing it up. I'm paying ~$240 each shipped from Japan and they'll just show up and be good to go. Though I am going to put some Hayabusa sticks in there. So... mostly good to go! Haha.

Where are you importing a te2 for 240? I haven't seen one for less than 300 with shipping included.

At that cost, I can see the argument.

OP has no info and google giving me endless amounts of incorrect results, so need ask:

Is there a way to use original SFIV TE stick on PS4 yet? Best info I could find was about the Skullgirls dev making it work, but it seemed to be for their game only. Injustice for PS+ next month and I was hoping to use my TE stick on it somehow.

You can rig it with the CronusMAX/controller max, but otherwise, no.

Cheers, so we gotta hope devs take note of the skullgirls team.

Any drawbacks to cronusmax?

I have one of these and its hit or miss. It seems to work good on Xbox one but on ps3 there is all kinds of lag. It might be a setting or something but I haven't used it enough to know for sure

Really looking forward to getting my Xrd stick. Haven't bought a stick since the MvC3 version of the TE1 for 360.

It'll probably arrive when I'm home for Christmas though so hopefully I can get the shipper to hold it for a little while extra while I'm not in Toronto to go pick it up. Man, that would suck if I got back here and they'd shipped it back to the U.S.

CronusMax is old tech. Use a Titan One. Zero lag. Dude even made a tournament edition firmware that disallows macros (and displays a t on the LED for easy verification).

Hey guys where do you usually order arcade parts from?

Depends on what country you're in. If you're in the US Focusattack.com is a good place for your more common stuff, paradisearcadeshop.com is about the same on shipping and prices but has some less common parts.

I'm trying to hunt down those Xrd buttons lol

They delisted them off AmiAmi.

If I wanted two cheap arcade sticks for me and a friend to fun around with when playing stuff like Windjammers, or Mortal Kombat, or Tetris Battle Gaiden, etc etc, is there any reason not to get this cheapo Mayflash arcade stick?

It wouldn't be for any serious competitive play, just to have a cool way to play some games on PC.

So the Xrd demo drops on PS4 tomorrow. Any word on whether or not they incorporated support for PS3 sticks?

Pretty hyped on it, my day off is today though so it's a bummer I can't mess with it now.

Anyone order from AmiAmi before? Pretty excited to get the JPN Limited Box from them but was wondering how fast they ship orders out.

Ordered the Xrd TE2 through madcatz because I have no control over my life

Charged my card the full amount like Skilletor warned me

Amiami is good

I'm thinking of buying a HRAP V4 Hayabusa for PS3/4, but i want a stick for PC as well (USFIV mostly). Do we know if V4 is compatible with PC?
I read that it's plug & play, but i'd like to hear from someone who uses it.
Thanks in advance.

So...just called madcatz support to see if they could give me a day shipping for the USF4 TE2, they told me mid december, and that they'd been delayed.

I asked, "Are you sure you're not talking about the Guilty Gear or Persona one," and the rep said "They've all been delayed."

I said, "The website says the USF4 stick is shipping the end of november." The rep said, "...yeah, it's mid-december now."

Edit: lol, another rep tells me they're shipping at the end of November. When I point out that it IS the end of november, he says...yeah, then they should be shipping soon.

Markman, plz.

Yep it works just fine. Only sad part is lack of proper button names showing up (it's all 'Button ##' as opposed to 'square, circle, triangle....'.

Not a deal breaker by any means and you learn what to press pretty quickly. ;)

By the way I kept it in PS3 mode when connecting to my PC. If I remember PS4 mode worked but had some issues, but I cannot remember exactly what anymore.

The V4 is compatible with PC. At least with Skullgirls is it, I tried it there and it works. It really was just plug and play, no installing of drivers or whatever :)

Are the Hori Hayabusa and Kuro parts similar to standard Sanwas in feel/quality? Thinking about pulling the trigger for PS4 but I'd really miss my current gen Semitsu stick.

Newer Madcatz PS3, like PRO ones, work on the PC with no weird USB chipset compatibility problems right? Ever since the Chun Li TE?

My friend's non-modded Madcatz PS3 pro stick works no problems on my pc when he comes over to play Ultra,Breakers Revenge, and Tatsunoku vs Capcom on dolphin.
