The thing about the kaimana is that you still have to buy the leds, which I have no idea where to find online, especially the ones that Paradise Arcade sold with the original kaimana boards.

Thanks for the info, then it looks like I'll wait for the LVT update. Also helps that the LVT is nothing but plugging things in. So I might just aim for that.

TES+ is probably fine, but I havent used it. I like Hori sticks for their cases. An HRAP4Hayabusa with sanwa buttons swapped in would be my favorite, but its been out of print for a while and the newer hori's arent as good.

I have an HRAP3SA which is basically the same as what I described, except no PS4 compatibility. I plan on upgrading it to PS4 eventually, but for now Im using my arcade cabinet and TE2(bleh)

I have a RAP with kuros and Hyabusa and there is literally nothing wrong with the buttons or stick.

Super weird question, music related.

Is it possible to mod something like the midifighter or something similar into a stick that plays audio on button presses, etc?

Woo, have some parts ordered for my Venom stick! Bonus points for those who can guess what I'll be theming my stick as:

Oh, quantities are 1x yellow, 6x green and 2x pink.

So I had an interesting but but mostly frustrating experience tonight. I dug up an old Tekken 6 wireless PS3 fightstick I bought on clearance at Best Buy many moons ago. Since I have been having a little difficulty on my Hori FC4 fightpad with consistently inputting commands on the d-pad for moves. I wanted to try out a fightstick and see if that would do better for me.

Not a chance. The stick felt very loose to use. It felt almost impossible to get off the move I wanted. The stick was too sensitive. Dragon ball punches, hurricane kicks, they were impossible to input correctly. I felt like I was taking steps backwards when using the fightstick.

I don't know if the fightstick being wireless had anything to do with my results or the quality of the stick. I feel like I do much better though with the Hori FC4 pad. I don't think I'm going to return to the stick moving forward.

Something I really wish I could view is someone using the fightpad on youtube. I want to see how other players are holding the controller and using it.

T6 wireless stick is terrible. It has many issues. Parts are shits. Wireless function is not all that great.

Other than Amazon and the madcatz site is there any other place I can order one of the sf v fight sticks from?
It's out of stock on Amazon and the madcatz site :(

Thanks for the effort , if anyone knows anywhere else I wouldn't mind paying for shipping just wanna get my baby back up :( I have a wireless hori tekken one but it just doesn't cut it
Checked eBay?

Daaamn. Kinda want but I'd be paranoid about color wearing off eventually.

A Sega panel? Well the green shaft wouldn't fit in...and 6 green/2 pink doesn't exactly fit, but all the colors make sense!
yeah it's possible for sure. good lord that would be annoying though.
I'd want a "HI I'M DAISY" button, or program it in for hadoukens.

So it there no way at all to have access to a headphone jack on the original TE2 PS4? Just realized it doesn't have one and it's pretty annoying when I want to play with certain friends.

Hell. Yes. Was always worried about compatability. So cool that old gear works great AND we get cross play with ps4. User base was one of the things keeping me away from SFIV on PC.

After playing cross platform with my PS4-owning friend last night, I totally agree. I'm new to PC gaming but I do like the idea of my game controllers not becoming obsolete after a generation.

I'm cheap and don't want to buy a wireless/new usb headset just to be able to chat while using my fightstick. Word on the street is you can set your fightstick to legacy mode and then turn on a DS4 and connect the mic here and that works, has anyone tried it?

HORI RAP4 Kai any good?

I have 2 TE sticks but I'm afraid of lag when hooking them up Legacy. Is that an issue?

I have danwa buttons laying around so I'd just switch out the buttons. I don't have an extra sanwa stick but I could pull one out of one of my TE. Is the HRAP KAI stick shitty?

Thought I'd just use a pad but I can't so I didn't preorder a madcatz stick.

I have one and I like it. The only issue after heavy usage is the cord compartment. To put it simply, it sucks. It opens up if you just jam the cables in there, so in a tourney setting where you're trying to put it away fast, it becomes a hassle. Otherwise, the stick is good.

The TE2+ looks better than the Kai though, but that's my opinion.

So does anyone have any info on the new Hori Premium VLX import? Is it just the same as the Kuro but with Falcon buttons and different colors? Any PCB upgrades?

Edit: They just need to release a diamond version because it looks like the new one has quality control issues with the paint. Guess I will hold off for now until they release a diamond variant or just release a new FE.

Hey can I please get some help.

I'm using JoyToKey to map both my TE2+ and TES+ for Street Fighter V on PC, and I've finally got JoyToKey and SV5 to recognize both arcade sticks... but they're both controlling Player 1, I can't figure it out for the life of me - any ideas? Should I try a different program? Xmapper? Help please!

Anyone notice the Hori 4 Kai got a slight revision and now has a PS3/PS4/PC(X-input) switch? It now has the Hayabusa buttons. Also the side buttons got reordered. It now has a strip on the top side with buttons labels too.

It looks like it completely replaced the old model as it still has the same listing on Amazon, and it's the only one listed on the Hori store with the same part number.

I might have to sell or trade mine in. I'm interested in the new buttons, and X-input compatibility is great.

Any word on Mad Catz updating the TES+ and TE2+ firmware for X-input? How would that even work if other controllers have a physical switch?

Has anyone used one of these?

Are they the same as the old SE Street Fighter 4 stick? The art is ugly on this, but I've got an old 360 SE stick that I've put sanwa buttons in, if these are identical I could probably just swap the PCBs.

Also, any word on the input lag on PS3 sticks on Street Fighter 5 on PS4?

Look at my post above, I have the same stick, changed the art and replaced all buttons and joystick with sanwa parts

My TE2+ stick was squeaking when I moved down/left, but after some tinkering and googling I figured out that the square gate just needed adjusting. Obviously nothing serious, but it feels good being able to just pop the damn thing open and mess with it so easily. :p Aside from replacing buttons, this is the first bit of fight stick surgery I've had to do and it feels good.

Looking into modding my Hori Fighting Stick 3 (PS3)

I want to get;

Sanwa GT-Y Octagonal Restrictor Plate
Sanwa LB-30-N bat top

Is there a way to mod the buttons without soldering? (i don't know how to solder)

I placed an order at FA on the 17th. On the 19th they said it will take 5 business days before orders are shipped. Does that mean I ordered soon enough for the usual 2-3 business day shipping or do I have to wait 5 business days?

It sucks playing on a controller and I refuse to play on a vanilla hori 4 joystick. Seimitsu parts or gtfo :D
Maybe I'll try using my PS3 Fight stick se with seimitisu parts and see how that works.

Replacing buttons doesn't require soldering. The wires have a little metal piece that goes over the connector on the buttons and you just pull them off.
