I don't think that's the problem as you can play Guacamelee with either the dpad or left stick usually. Anyways, here's an image of my stick. I like how it looks now actually but I need to add artwork because I forget what buttons are what. Also that white thing is my lamp reflected.

You can get a TE2 Crossbone from Phreak Mods soon (maybe contact him directly) in addition to a PS360+ to get multi-gen compatibility.

hey phantomnaut, thanks for the tip. I still have my previous stick dual modded with a cthulhu board for 360/ps3 use, so no need for that.
I just want this stick to be compatible with more games on the system it was designed for (xb1) is all.

Finally finished the basic construction of my second set of sticks, one for me and one for my sister. Learned a lot when I made my first junker prototype and now that I'm almost done with these all I can think about are the changes I would make on my third.
I've got a couple PDP pads to wire up because they were half the price of madcatz pads, they look like they should be easy enough to solder based on glancing at the pcb. They are very cheaply made though, anyone have experience with these? Shoryuken says they're common ground which I probably should have verified by now...

Put the stick into config mode via the touch panel, hold the button that's misconfigured, tap on the lever to change the displayed button config for that button until it's what you want.

Dunno yet if I'm gonna stick with the Sanwa lever. I'd like to throw a Seimitsu LS-56-01 in there. I just love the tighter feeling, and my success rate with getting out Ranbu and Tyrant Rave motions in combo's go up, although so far I haven't had any problems going back to Sanwa for now.
Also I love Seimitsu bubble tops. So sexy. I never seen actually got a good look at one before until I decided to order one and check it out. Wish I had one a long time ago back when I still had this -

no, i just made it myself with a buddy who knows a little more of soldering.
It's a second variation really, originally it was PS3 only but i later swapped the chipset out to a Paewang dualboot chip.

Buy Sanwa parts whereever you want and just paint the plastic hull, file/brush the steel plate to a shining one. Throw all of the innards out as you can't use the old PCB or button placement.
For the Home/Guide you can use any button, i wanted a smaller one so just drill a hole somewhere and solder it to the PCB.
The joystick is the only tricky part, as you will need to drill through the steel plate and cut a space out for it in the plastic with a Dremel or something. You can see the 4 screws under the plexiglass that hold the stick in place and it's an extremely tight fit vertically so i filed the stick shorter a little bit. You can also use washers in the screwholes on the stick side of the bottomplate to get an inch.

I just ordered 8 of 'em based off a couple of reviews (and wanting something different than Sanwa/Seimitsu), and wondered if anybody here has used them either for a mod or on that Fighter's Edge stick.

Do any of you have any experience with Shadaloo.eu? They make some kick ass custom sticks so I ordered one from them. That was two months ago. I haven't heard anything from them since then. I emailed them about a week ago, still haven't received an answer. I'm starting to become a little worried.

I have a FE. I'd say the buttons are better than Sanwa's. At least to me. Less noisy and I like the feel.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply. Just ordered them this morning from FocusAttack. Putting them in my HRAP SE (not a fan of Seimitsu buttons at all)

I kind of feel strongly that as one of a very small minority of sticks to come with Seimitsu parts out of the box that it should be preserved as is; there are no shortage of stick boxes you could use instead of taking a stock EX-SE out of the market. You could probably even profit decently since the stick is sought after in some circles.
(I -still- need that style headset/guide button plate to complete an Otomedius G stick restoration...)

Anyone use the Sanwa OBSFS Silent 30mm Pushbutton? How are they.
Mushy at first, but once you get used to that, they're not bad. Feel just as responsive as a normal sanwa without the clickety clack. Lots of people don't like how mushy they feel, though.

silent buttons completely throw me off.
So I have a Tekken Hybrid Stick and would like to switch out the restrictor for some sort of circle-gate, but I have no clue at all of what I would doing. What should I be looking at as far as what to purchase and installation instructions?

It's like a 5 minute procedure.
I think the Focus Attack pads are better, based on personal experience, but YMMV.
Why circle? You might want to try an octagonal gate first. Or just get both, they are just a couple bucks each, and super easy to switch out.

I have an 8-button set of silencer inserts from Focus Attack that I'm not going to use if you want them. They've never been used.
Thanks you. If just swapping out the restrictor is meant to be really easy, I guess I don't have to worry about messing anything up. I didn't realize they were so cheap.

Any LED mod tutorials out there? I have a mame cabinet in progress. Currently have two PS360's in there and about to order two Hayabusa sticks. I'm wondering what the go-to LED mod is these days. Also curious if i have to buy two led controllers to make this work...

100$ might be a lot though but if it uses a real xbone pad chip there shouldn't be any fear of Microsoft blocking it later on.I'm waiting for a new version of a Paewang style superchip that enables all consoles with just one pcb.

Yeah padhacking at this point is the most optimal way to future proof. The problem this generation though is the Dual Shock 4 which I heard is nightmarishly hard to wire. Like you can gut Hori's or Mad Catz's PS3/PS4 PCBs they use for their latest sticks but being relatively new, it's not worth it.
The PS360+'s PS4 mode is an acceptable alternative since the encryption check-in is eight minutes into being plugged in. Unless there is a fighting game that can last that long, it's fine to use at the moment.
PS360 actually issued a statement saying they aren't going to be able to do PS4 compatibility.

Bummer, I wasn't banking on it, but I'd picked up PS360s for my most recent project in the hopes that would be a current gen option. I get that padhacking is a thing, but I've done it before and honestly found it more time consuming and stressful than I would like. I like design, woodwork, and basic wiring much more. So my plan moving forward is to have my sticks all just have one PCB of some type if at all possible.
