Super "NeoGAF Arcade Stick Thread" II TURBO

Is playasia a good place to order my q4 from? I'm trying to get my hands on a blue one and they have the cheapest price. How are they on shipping?
 
Hey guys, i have a couple of questions for you.

I picked up USFIV on Steam yesterday, planing to return to it after many years of absence, and today i was looking for a PC compatible stick. Looking around, i got my eye on Razer Atrox and i can say i liked what i read about it and especially its 'easier than normal to mod' nature.

So my questions are:

1) Is the stick as good as reviews and users claim? Does any of you have personal experience with it and any info to share?
For the record my only experience with console sticks was my sold now Hori RAP but i have arcade experience so i pretty much know about parts.

2) Do we have any info of whether or not the XBOX ONE version of Atrox will be PC compatible too? I plan to get an X1 this October so if i could get a stick to work on both X1 and PC it would be ideal.

It's 200 on XB1. I assumed it would be the same price. PS3/PS4 version is a steal at 200 with that compatibility, imo.
 
MS needs to pull their head out of their butt and either allow the TE1 to work on the xb1 OR allow madcatz to release a stick that works across both the 360 and the xb1.

It's , 100% serious here, the biggest reason why I haven't bought an XB1 yet. The game I most want to play is KI but spending even 400$ for the console + 40$ for the game and another 200$ (if you can even find one) on the arcade stick is just too steep an entry price.

Right, I've been using that but wanted to make sure I wasn't doing it wrong. I'm getting USFIV tomorrow and want to properly practice it. I played SSFIV quite a bit when it came out but only on Dualshock (and my first DS3 had a wonky d-pad that rocked around a ton), and I've only played it once since AE released, so I'm looking forward to trying to learn it on stick.

Oh it's a 2-in-one for me too. A lot of Ultra Street Fighter IV / Persona Ultimax on PS3 and Guilty Gear Xrd on PS4 is gonna get played on it.

I'm just a cheapo so $200 is hard for me to swallow. Doesn't mean I'm not gunna do it though!

Atrox is very solid. Good ability to do soft and hard mods in case you want to add more or switch parts. Great weight to it, good bottom anti slip mat. I guess the Xbox One Atrox on PC will require the Xbox One controller drive which is available now.

I think this is a good idea to counteract Sony. I'm sure once more noise is made about how Sony is encouraging future sticks to be ps3/4 compatible, Microsoft will have to do something. They are very much trying to fight the stigma of having the less powerful platform and they need parity as much as possible.

Also about the TE2, has mad catz mentioned a date about the Persona 4 version? The US4 one looks great but I want the p4u instead.

Nothing yet, but we don't even have full details on the USF4 one yet either. We'll get full details at gamescom next week from what I understand.

Yeah, those pictures look WAY better than the stock photos. Might get the Persona one over the USF4 one if it gets announced as well.

Still not a HUGE fan of the orange and yellow buttons though.
 
I'm gonna pick up an Ultra stick even though there's no PS4 Ultra. I just hope it's available on Amazon. I need to use credit there.

The P4U stick does look pretty slick.

Thanks for your answer. I'll wait a bit ofc, but it all sounds good so far.
Any alternative for PC/X1 you guys think it might be better than Atrox?
 
yeah i guess im waiting for persona te 2

was thinking of importing the hrap 4 but i really dislike the kuro for some reason

Yeah, I passed on it for that reason. Hopefully the P4U2 stick is PC/PS320 compatible and drops to $80 soon... :/

Yeah, I used the hair dryer trick too because the glue that they used it ridiculous.
