The Tatacon is so flimsy feeling, this looks great. I want it badly but... I imagine it's going to cost a shit load of money.

EDIT: 29,800円, so about what the bemani ASCs run. Shipping would be a pita. And I'd probably want two. I'm so tempted, though.
 
Anyone know what the madcatz timer is for? I was thinking it would be the release of the new TE2 stick but I'm ready to be disappointed in 1hour and 30mins.

I assume they're announcing the PS3/PS4 TE2s in other regions. Maybe some other stuff as well.

I want (at least one) TE2s. Give me thems.
 
Does anyone know of a way to get the old Ps3/360 fightsticks to works with the newer consoles? Would be such a shame to have to buy a new one. I would even take a mod that allowed me to work on both at this point.

Only way you'll get a stick to work on both is padhacks.
 
Can anyone here vouch for the eight arc defender bag? Need a bag to transport my stick in and being able to carry both a laptop and a stick in the same bag is a huge plus. Kinda iffy on that $60 price though. Does it go on sale often?

It's a great bag. It just came out, so I doubt it will go on sale.
 
Wait for the holidays. I don't know about last year, but the year before eightarc had some pretty significant discounts on their website

60 dollars for a dedicated stick bag is a bit much for me. I just use a backpack I got for a third of that and my stick is no worse for wear really

Yeah, I have a backpack I use for for my sticks before I bought this bag. The draw on this one is that it's big enough to fit a fighting edge.

1) why can't you announce a release date for te2 ps4 sticks?

2) why doesn't the xb1 te2 work for games besides Killer Instinct? There's no reason why I can't use my te2 on a game like Guacamelee. Obviously, I'm not expecting to use the stick on a game that requires the use of analog thumbsticks on the pad. If it's on MS side, you guys need to pressure them on that to add basic game compatibilty. I don't think I'm expecting too much of an officially licensed controller.

3) will there be a similar compatibilty issue with the ps4 te2?

Thanks for the recommendation. I looked into that before and it doesn't seem big enough for me. I want something that can carry both my stick and laptop and i'd also prefer a backpack rather than a sling.

Hi. Let me answer your questions.

1) We can't because we are waiting for approvals. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) there is a process and procedure to these things and it is out of our hands at this moment.

2) It's not on our end, I can tell you that. It's actually driven by software. Software will recognize different controller types and activate them while they are being run on the Xbox One. We can bring it up, but we can't force another company to add basic compatibility, unfortunately.

3) There's no way for us to tell, but as far as I know the PS3/PS4 TE2 shouldn't have that issue as it functions as a regular controller and does not have any authentication per software.

Well I guess this is me trying to do all I can on my end. I made a post on Xbox User Voice so I would greatly appreciate it if all my Arcade Stick fam can vote on this to bring attention to Microsoft. There's not a lot of us, so every vote would help. =)

I have somewhat of a funny story. I bought (2) Fightstick TE2s on ebay for a great price. I asked the seller (who had solid feedback) why he was letting them go for sub $140 prices and he replied by saying he gave up professional gaming and just wanted to get rid of them. So I asked who he was and he replied "FC Jago." I thought I recognized that name so I did a search:

He was part of FC and EMP at different times. How cool is that? I asked him to sign the inside of them before he sent them to me lol

I'm not sure of an average, but the ones on eBay are $70 and $55 before shipping. I assume the local ones at your Japan store are cheaper.
