This is one of the unique fighting controller I have ever seen. lol

Yeah the IST guys in Korea make custom versions of the Makestick Pro. They have an option to have custom panel options such as this keyboard controller example. Too bad they haven't reached outside Korea because they have neat ideas including a custom PS4 PCB they have.

While I might not get that type of Makestick Pro, I hope my friend can buy me a shell with either the custom PS4 PCB or the one with the Dual Shock 4 pad hack when she is at Korea.

If you haven't checked yet, the GGXrd PS4 TE2 has plastic rings on the buttons. They are loose that way to make removing buttons easier without destroying the plastic tabs on the buttons. You can take off the button like normal then you can take off the ring easily.

All accounts are to use the Titan One and not the Cronus Max. It's banned at some tournaments due to compatibility issues plus the nonsense drama surrounding its creation. The guy who originally designed the CM made the TO and it's supposed to be better.

They're a newer line of sticks as the X1 sticks have been around for a little over a year. That and ps3/ps4 switch means ps3 players will pick them up as well as they can use them if/when they upgrade to a ps4 pain free. Can't forget scalpers picking them up as well to me a profit.

I understand where you're coming from as I've been trying to get one for almost 3 months and have ran into one problem after another. I'm guessing in a few months the shortages won't be as bad.I've been wanting to get more into Xrd on ps4 but I can't play pad for shit.

Does the xrd stick have the clear rings under the buttons like the te2? If so you need to use them. See if they are still on your old buttons.

Edit: the LED board does not secure the buttons in place in any way.

It's because the buttons are recessed inside the plexi instead of on top like most arcade sticks. The clear rings accommodate for the buttons clipping in to only the thin metal panel, adding material thickness so they stay tight (you've seen how loose they are without it).

Thanks. I was thinking about getting an arcade stick before MKX comes out but I may wait until a chat version comes out. I may even wait for the XB1 hit box.

On a side note, I tried out the XB1 standard controller on Killer Instinct the other day. The moves that required quarter circles were hard to pull off. I was thinking that MK might translate better for that controller since it doesn't heavily rely on those kind of motions.

The V has standard spacing and the Kai has the stick spaced a little farther to the left and the buttons a tad farther up. Supposed to make it more comfortable. The extra spacing probably gives you a little more room which is nice, but probably only noticeable if you're used to one. Also, I don't know 100% the spacing is the only difference, but it certainly looks that way. Looking at the 4 Kai on Amazon US and the V on Amazon Japan. The right side buttons and switches are identical.

The spacing is strictly a comfort issue, which is an improvement in my book. Learning to switch between them is a really good idea anyways.

Since it's PS3/PS4, it will indeed work on virtually anything as it's a generic USB HID device.

Stick in it is great, I like the hayabusa more than sanwa. Buttons are ymmv. I hate them, personally.

Case is a good size, but a bit light for me. Worth the price for 150.

I've yet to try either the Hayabusa stick or the Kuro buttons, but I have old TEs I can swap out parts with, so for $50 less, and having way more functionality in panel buttons, and an all-black color with minimal graphics, I'm stupidly excited for the Hori.

The TE2 from what I've seen online is kind of a big letdown for me at $50 more. I don't care about modding the art, so paying $50 more for a stick with less control-pad button functionality is not attractive.

I really wanted Mad Catz to make a more basic PS4 stick without all the modding frills like their Pro stick (I have the SFxT ones) at a lower price point. The Hori is a lot closer to that, but has the extra features like the touch pad, L3/R3 etc.

Unless you like modding, I'd have a hard time recommending the TE2 for a new stick user, and I owned exclusively MadCatz sticks of multiple styles last gen. The Hori seems like a much better value.

Just ordered one! I read a review on shoryuken kuro buttons and hayabusa joystick and it got glowing reviews. They go as far saying its good as sanwa. Thanks again for your help guys. Will cancel the madcatz pre order then.

Sony doesn't care. I heard the guys who make Skull Girls made some drivers that let ps3 sticks work on ps4, but it's up to individual devs to use those. Last I heard, most other devs haven't used them, so you should probably just buy a new stick.

Happened to check Amazon and saw the 4kai was up for preorder finally and bit. Came here to mention it and, well... yeah.

Super happy as I love my V3 Kai, I just had to buy the Hayabusa to drop into it. Now It'll basically be stock as I want it and I get to finally try out the Kuro buttons.

This and the PSN flash sale made for an interesting day.

It's never going to happen, I gave up on waiting for that and Madcatz to release their sticks in the UK and took a punt on the Kai. I can soon swap buttons and sticks out if I hate them, but I grew up playing in arcades so I can get used to most pretty easily. If it moves all directions and the buttons don't stick down because of a cigarette burn it's all good.

I'm still kinda concerned about the Kuro buttons. How exactly do they differ to the Sanwas? Stiffer?

Will probably get one too regardless, since the driver issue seems to have been swept under a rug and madcatz are pretty slow to announce anything concrete for europe.
