Super "NeoGAF Arcade Stick Thread" II TURBO

Anyone know of a comparable board? This appears to no longer be in stock.

I've been keeping up with the shenanigans of this board; apparently there's been a major problem with this board's software's compatibility with Windows 10. It's been fixed and they'll be in stock in mid-March.

Hey awesome. Thanks for the input. I haven't upgraded to windows 10 yet on my main pc so I guess it wouldn't have affected me. But it's nice to know they'll be back in stock.

I've been playing around with my Venom for some time today and I'm not finding the stock parts to be as bad as I thought they would be. I was planning on immediately replacing the buttons with my extra Sanwas but I think I can wait until my JST cable comes in to replace everything at once (it was free shipping from Hong Kong so it'll probably be a month).

Just got an email back from them...

"Mid March is when we are hoping to have them back in stock! Watch our Facebook page for announcements!

Yeah, that's what I found in this SRK thread.
I'm glad to see these are coming back relatively soon because I'm not going to start modding my stick before I can light my buttons up :v

I really hate how in the promo shot the dust cover doesn't fit the stick, lol. At least the actual product it does.

I was actually worried about that, whew!

the shipping for 8 buttons from Focus Attack is more expensive than the ocst of the buttons. FA pls ;_;

Remove cable and balltop from your current stick, unscrew and remove stick from its current base. Reverse steps with the Hayabusa in terms of installation.

Another video aid
Readable guide, pretty helpful and clear
He may be working on the SE, but it's essentially the same.

A lot of your questions are actually solvable on a quick sweep of SRK's Tech forum. They have a lot of useful guides if you don't feel like waiting for a response.

Like the Outrun music <3

Thanks <3

- Unscrew the top of the TES+ and remove it
- Unplug the joystick wire harness, note the order of the colored wires
- Unscrew the balltop, unscrew the joystick from the top of the TES+
- Screw in the Hayabusa, make sure the small wire prongs are facing the same direction as the JLF was
- Plug back in the wire harness with the wires in the same color order
- Screw back on the balltop and screw the top back on the TES+

Thanks and sorry for all the dumb questions! I'm DIYphobic. I'm not good with tools and I'm scared to break it. I have an empty light bulb socket in my ceiling fan because the bulb got stuck when I took it out once. The aluminum part is still inside the fan and I'm scared to take it out. I need to hire a guy to come over and fix it!

Reposting some quick thoughts on the TE2+ from the mad catz thread:

Just received my TE2+ from Amazon (US), and while I've yet to actually use it on my PS4, I'm incredibly impressed with it based on build quality alone. It feels really strong and sturdy, and I'm not hearing any squeaks when opening it up like some others had reported. I even got a chance to see just how easily modable it is since I had to remove the plexi to remove some packaging gunk stuck underneath. Definitely feels like a step up from my other stick (Hori RAP4 Kai) just due to the weight alone.

I'm really glad I bit the bullet and ordered this as a second stick. Can't wait to put it to use tonight with SFV.

You going to make any mods to it or stick with stock parts for a while?

Gonna stick with the stock parts for now, but down the line I'd like to maybe change up the panels/art/buttons to give it a darker look.

I get mine tomorrow. Can't wait to put some time into it. Haven't used a TE base type since the original TE for 360. I am all for it being more tanky than that one.

Just picked up a brook board with paradise screw terminal for the stick Cindi sold me, as well as a new set of buttons for my TE2. Hoping to get an LED board for the TE2 when they reappear

Since I'm getting the TES+ officially I decided to finally sit down and get my stick design out of my head and on to (digital) paper.

Basic colors and idea are there. I've got the art down for the three mains in the three games I play.

I have no clue how I'm going to recolor the black part on top (I think?) of the plexi. You know, the rubber part. I guess that's a part you can't recolor.

Looking for white Hayabusa sticks, can't find a single one. Tomorrow when I get the Fighting Edge I'll try out the stick and see how I like it compared to Sanwa. I really want a white ball top at least. I can settle there, but I really want that swirl on it too!

I posted this in the SFV OT, but I figured this would probably be an even better place to ask.

Hoping someone can help me out with a controller issue I'm having on PC.

I've got an older Hori Fighting Stick EX2 that I bought around the time SFIV came out. I'd like to use it with my PC. I plugged it in, windows 10 installed the driver for it, and I figured I'd be good to go. But for whatever reason, Street Fighter V doesn't recognize it, Street Fighter IV doesn't recognize it, even InputMapper doesn't recognize it. I've checked the device manager, and the controller shows up there, but other than that it's completely unresponsive.

Any tips?

It's very...pink.

About recoloring the black, is spray paint an option?

I like you thinking regarding using your main characters across different games. I'll have two of the TE2+. I'll keep one SF but am going to turn the other into MKX. But Tekken's around the corner soon enough... Your thinking is solid.

Yes, it's pink! I want to have the cutest stick at every tourney. Even if I lose, my stick will still win cutest stick!

I'm not sure about pink background on the art though. I'd like a compliment but that depends on the rubber. I want something good for the background. The characters are fine, but the actual background, I'm not sure what to do.

Anyone ever have problems with the MC Cthulhu driver not installing properly on Windows 7.

When I plug it in, it tries for a while to install the driver, says it fails, but if I go into the game controllers settings, it shows up. I was able to update the firmware as well. While it's trying to install the driver, it doesn't show up at all though. So every time I plug it in, I have to wait a few minutes for it to try and install the driver. Is there somewhere I can download the driver to install manually?

Also, I just want to make sure I actually have a MC Cthulhu and not the PS3 only version. I only ask because I bought it quite a while ago, and the paperwork that came with it says Cthulhu PS3/PC control board. However I'm guessing since it actually says Cthulhu Multiconsole Edition in the game controllers setting, and the fact that it let me update the firmware means I definitely have the MC.
