Super "NeoGAF Arcade Stick Thread" II TURBO

No structural differences aside from the foam silencer. Paradise Arcade Shop and Focus Attack also sell their own aftermarket silencers if you want to try out silent buttons on the cheap.
It's less that I want silent buttons and more that I want regular buttons but the regular buttons are out of stock at focusattack.
I don't think there are any US arcade webstores that currently have both an LS-40-01 and eight black OBSF-30s in stock.

Paradise arcade shop comes back online sometime tomorrow so you could check then. You can also set up and auto-notify for the buttons over at focus attack since they are out of stock. Or could get the OBSF-30s from arcadeshock and the lever from focusattack. They should both arrive at roughly the same time if you don't want to wait for on online store to stock both items.

So my HRAP V4 Hayabusa decided to start malfunctioning.
The down direction won't register properly - when I release it back to neutral it registers for a bit before returning to normal.

I'm not sure what my options regarding repairs or replacements are.

Not to mention I want to get back into the thick of it ASAP and it being the long weekend isn't going to help.

Taking apart the hayabusa lever is a little more involved than taking apart a JLF. You'll need to remove the bottom 4 screws and remove the bottom plate and look at the microswitches. There should be a video that focus attack did taking it apart I'll go find it for you. The bad thing is to switch the microswitches you will need to solder themof they need replacing unless you replace the whole pcb and all switches yourself with one that is pre assembled.

This is a breakdown video to help with any inner workings: https://youtu.be/zGBlBd5vxnw

I agree, I was disappointed that I could not order one for my ps4 stick. It seems like the demand is there, and the price of $20 is such a great price point. They gotta work on keeping up with stock.

They've been out of stock on like everything since December. :/

Thanks dude, I'll take a look.
If it's a bum microswitch I might just have to replace the whole pcb.

There was time now!
It's not fair!

Just checked ParadiseArcade, they unfortunately have neither buttons nor stick in stock.
I'd prefer to get both stick and buttons at the same storefront so that I can save money on shipping.
I've already set up the auto-notify at focusattack, so I guess I'll wait. In the meantime, I bought the JST-XH cable for connecting the joystick to the Mayflash V2's PCB.

Edit: For fun I did the Ripster/Ripometer test on the V2's buttons. They require approximately 65g of force to actuate.

Managed to get my hands on black sidepanels and a bezel. Nier stick is finally complete.

If anyone here is willing to help me compress a file either zip or winrar I would appreciate it a lot. I'm trying to send this file out so I can get it printed for my stick. I wont have my laptop anytime soon :( It's for a mad catz te fightstick first round. I will send image via email to anyone that's willing to help. Thanks

I know that Sanwa and Seimitsu use different colors for their parts, meaning that it's best to purchase buttons & balltop from the same manufacturer.
What about black and white? For those colors, are there any noticeable differences across the manufacturers?

Edit: Also, does anyone have experience ordering from arcadeworlduk to the US? How long did it take to ship?

Brook is now making Wii U converters for PS4/PS3 & 360/XB1 sticks & pads.

Judging by the fact that this works with Smash 4, Pokkén Tournament, & Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on the Wii U, it likely registers your stick as a Pro Controller. I've reached out to both Focus Attack & Brook via Twitter to make sure, but FA wasn't sure & Brook has yet to respond.
Wonder if it'd be possible for them to update their multi board to work with Wii U.

Glad I grabbed the hayabusa buttons when I did. Sold out already on arcadeshock.

They're pretty good. Super smooth. WIsh I would have had buttons like these back in the day for raking on games like MSH or XvS.

Finally got around to adding some custom artwork + buttons for my TE2+

OG artwork vs custom printed one

And here it is fully assembled with matching red Sanwa buttons and balltop to go with the bezel.

Very happy with the results as this was my first time modding a stick. Credit goes to http://liyart.deviantart.com/ for the character art. Now time to train.

What's a good button color for a TES+ if I'm not going to change the default art? I want to change my art but I don't think I will unless there was a tutorial on changing the art for the TES+.

Hey guys, Anyone know how good this stick is? Input lag and all that? I plan to play this wired don't really care for the wireless functionality but not sure how the input lag is for wired either. Also, can this stick be modded? It looks pretty similar to the Venom Arcade Stick which I think that one can be modded. Seems like its just the Sanwa for the stick and not the buttons so I'm probably going to have to mod sanwa buttons into it.

The body is identical to the V2/Venom, that's for sure. No idea about input lag, though.
Bluetooth functionality and the NES design is pretty cool, but I am concerned by the lack of an Analog/DPAD switch.

What are generally considered the best options for a Wii arcade stick? Ideally I'd like to just use one of my PS3 sticks, are there any good adapters out now? Something that would let me use it for VC games and emulators preferably.

I keep hearing mixed opinions on the official Wii sticks, and then there's the MC Cthulu boards. Way too many choices, I need some guidance please StickGAF!

Damn, talk about a buzzkill. I got the Brook Super Converter (360 -> XB1) I ordered in the mail the other day and try as I might, I cannot get it to work with my PS360+ modded stick. I've tried the button shortcut to force 360 mode and everything. This sucks. :(

I have a support ticket out with FocusAttack (where I ordered it from), still waiting to hear back with ideas or suggestions. I know my stick is working - tried it with my 360 - and I don't think the adapter is a lemon, but I don't have any other wired 360 pads to try it with.

Did you set it up with a 360 controller? Not sure if there are any firmware updates for that version.

The converter? To set up my PS4 one I had to connect it to my PC to update the firmware on it before I could use it on my console. Although I don think you upgrade any firmware for X1. Are you using the black converter?
Yeah. I didn't think I had to run any sort of updates on it before trying to use it.

Only thing I can think of trying is force x360 mode which you already did. You could try asking the guys over on the shoryuken brook converter thread as one of the reps from Brooks posts there answering questions.

Thanks. I might just try to do the firmware update you mentioned to see if that fixes it. It looks like the last update was about a month ago. I would think the one I got less than a week ago would be current, but who knows.

I just know I need to figure it out because playing Killer Instinct with a pad just feels wrong. Season 3 tomorrow!

Yours should have the most current firmware if you just received it I think. Guess it is kind of hard to test without a 360 controller.

Yeah I am glad season 3 comes out tomorrow for PC so I can use a stick finally. Been playing with a pad here and there and it definitely feels off for me.

This thread says that it should work in 360 mode without a firmware upgrade on the first post: http://forums.shoryuken.com/discussion/197708/brook-ps4-xboxone-controller-converters-thread

There is this post on one of the pages
With PS360+ (mode PS4) work perfect in Xbox One

P3/P4 to Xbox One (Red)

Waiting new firmware for this converter support Xbox One in PS3 mode

Also if you like the stick lag testing from Teyah the PS360+ in ps3 mode has the least amount of input lag compared to the 360 mode. So getting a p3/p4 to X1 adapter might be your best best. But don't take my word for it as I don't have hands on experience with that converter or PCB.

Crap, well that sucks... I do have a wired 360 controller somewhere that I could use as a sanity check, but I just moved so I have no clue where it is. It could be in one of a dozen different boxes that I haven't unpacked.

Is there anything more to toggling 360 mode (on the PS360+) other than holding the specific button while plugging it in?

That is the only way that I know of personally. I edited my post above with some new info i found in that thread as well that might help.

Cool, thanks for the info.

I've actually been debating switching out the PS360+ for Brook's Universal Fighting Board. It would certainly be simpler than needing two different Super Converters for my XB1 and PS4.

Yeah that would be a good idea honestly. The price of 2 converters is a little less than the same price as the UFB but comes with twice the hassle IMO. I only purchased a converter to use the X1 Elite controller on my PS4 for all my non FG's.

How am I supposed to buy a TES+ or TE2+ In the UK? Amazon.co.uk are all sold out for weeks now, anyone got recommendations?

Any other places or recommendations? :(

Grab a new HRAP4 Kai. I don't know if the ones in the UK are the updated model with X-input and the hayabusa buttons though.

These Hayabusa buttons are sexy. I love the matte texture on them. They have a slightly shorter throw that feels noticeable, and a nice click when you push them in. If you have issues with someone complaining about you making too much sound on your stick already these probably wouldn't help things.

Also is there a better way to get buttons out of your stick? I always break a few even when I really take my time to try and not to. They aren't too expensive, but still.
