Yeah I didn't know they were wired either. The cable's only 6 feet long, but hey a hybrid wired/wireless PC stick is pretty cool.

However, unless you're really digging the stick design or Bluetooth capabilities, I'd suggest the Mayflash V2 over the FC30. It's significantly cheaper, it supports both DInput and XInput, 360 and PS3, it has a DPAD/Analog switch, and it has a 10-foot cable. If the FC30 doesn't include Sanwa butons, it'd also be cheaper to mod the V2 to full Sanwa.
 
So, I'm guessing there's no chance to get that Chun-Li TE2 again from anyone outside of third party sales, right?

Anyone know if MadCatz is getting them back in stock or anyone else by chance? I had no idea they would be so hard to get later on, and I didn't have the cash at the time. :(

I have the Venom anyway, so I'm still pretty much covered :) Don't even have my 360 setup anymore, so no 360 support isn't a huge deal anyways.
 
I have an OG PS3 TE. I want to put a brook Universal Fighting Board into it. I think I can hook up the existing home button to the home button on the brook board, but can I wire the existing turbo button to function as a touch pad key?
 
I've been looking at various arcade stick parts for a custom stick I'm thinking about building using the Brook Universal Fighting Board and now I have a question... Well, I have a bunch, but this is the one at the forefront of my mind. :)

I see sets of quick disconnect wires on FocusAttack which are the same except for a smaller measurement; .110 and .187. What does that number mean?

And a secondary question, does anyone know which of those the Sanwa OBSF 30mm buttons use?

It's actually amazing. Best non-sanwa, non-seimitsu (budget) stick I've used. It beats the hell out of the Age Tech stick on dreamcast and the buttons are really nice. Way way better than stock Neo Geo AES sticks too (not that that's saying much).

I'm really happy with my purchase. If you're looking for a good PS1/PS2 stick without breaking the bank, I recommend this one with confidence. It feels very accurate and not made with cheap parts.

The stick itself also feels great too. Tighter than a JLF but not too springy like the Agetech. It has a square gate by the way.

The buttons don't squeak or stick either. They feel like seimitsu buttons but with a hair less travel distance when fully pressing down.
 
Namco PS1 stick is terrific. I wish more modern arcade-style controllers adhered to that footprint too. Would make lugging the thing around to tournaments much easier.

Yep! And it's made of metal too. Great finish and super solid feel unlike all the plastic/plexiglass sticks out there. The build quality makes it feel like it can take a beating if you want to lug it around.
 
Does anyone else think the Kuro buttons are TOO sensitive. I notice ill get incorrect inputs if my fingers even graze the buttons even the slightest bit. But I bought the HORI RAP V5 so I don't think there is an easy way to swap them out.

Those are just the size of the wires. Sanwa/Seimitsu uses the .110 standard so I'd get those. I believe Happ uses the .187.
 
Built this one last month. Installed an Akishop in it too for support on a bunch of modern and retro consoles :)

I found the acryllic shelf at the Container Store and randomly thought to myself that it could make a cool arcade stick. Works pretty well!

I took rough measurements of the TES+ if somebody needs it, as I might sell mine.

Case:
Wide (left/right: 14 and 3/8 in
Tall (top/bottom: 9 and 3/4 in
Height: 2 and 1/4 in

Space from the last 2 buttons to edge of case: 1 and 7/8 in
Space from Stick to X button: 1 and 1/8 in
Palm space from bottom of button row to bottom edge of case: 2 and 1/2 in.

And yea, the Namco PS1 is so fucking good. I wish ones like those were made again. Such high quality.
 
What is also great about the Namco PS1 stick is all the palm space. The buttons are higher up and there is minimal space between the top row and the top edge of the case. No wasted space. And went you pushed leverage down, it stayed in place pretty good on your lap because if that and the slope it had.

Totally true. Can't say enough good things about this stick. I really love using it.
 
After some time with the Hayabusas...I don't think they're better or worse than sanwa. I don't feel much difference playing on them other than the matte finish.

That's a win for Hori, imo, since I hated the kuros with a passion and, were I to get a stick with these buttons, the only reason I would replace them is because of the color.

This is where I am at right now. I notice the shorter throw a little bit and I like the matte finish as I get kind of tired of glossy stuff all the time. Put about 4 hours into the Hayabusa in the past 2 days and I won't go rush out to put them in all my sticks but it is nice to have alternatives that are viable to use in others sticks if I want to.

Hoping they release some new colors for them in the next couple of months. I also want to wait and see if GF is working on something new. It is awesome that we have multiple options these days for quality parts instead of just Sanwa ans Seimitsu.

I'd love to know this too. I've looked at like Lowe's for non slip stuff, but couldn't find anything similar enough. I love the foam on the bottom of my Fighting Edge and VLX.

Yea, I haven't found it either. I usually just 2 side tape the non-slip drawer liners to the bottom of sticks. But that foam stuff feels way better.

Yeah. They did a good job with them. I have an extra set of Sanwas I had in the older 4 Kai revision. I took them out and put back in the Kuros before trading it in for the new revision. I haven't even bothered to swap them back in because the stock Hayabusa buttons are doing the job just fine.
 
I'm interested in buying my first fightstick to play Gundam Extreme VS Full Boost on PS3. I'd also like it to work with PS4 as well. Should I go for a TE2+, the TES+, or an older TE? Are there other options? Do TEs work on PS4s?
 
Question for people who have the hrap v hayabusa. How's the wrist space? I'm used to playing on a OG TE and I'm wondering if I'll notice a big difference. Thinking of importing one instead of getting the kai

I bought some self adhesive EVA foam from Hobby Lobby for .89/sheet the other day. Cut it to match the layout on the bottom of the TES+ and put it on the bottom of my TES Chun Li. Works really well!
 
Finally got around to updating my fightstick with some art and new buttons. Not sure about the bat though. Trying it out, but might switch back to the ball top.

Can you use any balltop and shaft/dust cover with a Hayabusa stick on a HRAP V/Kai/etc?

Not sure what's compatible with this joystick. I got some Sanwa buttons at 30mm which I believe will replace the Kuro buttons on this thing but not sure about that either.

Yup, all of the cosmetic Sanwa stuff is fully compatible. The smokey translucent shaft cover and dust washed I have on my sticks are made for the JLF, as is the battop.

after one week with the V, i'd say they're both comfortable to me. but i also love the kai.
 
So how tough is it to add some custom artwork to the HRAP 4? Was hoping to use my 360/PS3 modded TE stick but the PS4 isn't having any of that so ended up getting a HRAP 4 instead.

I actually prefer them to Sanwas now. I really do like the shorter throw/profile and matte finish. Both are hyper responsive so Hori definitely has a keeper on their hands. Hopefully they will start selling them separately and in different colors.

Id get a TE2+ or TES of you are eventually looking to upgrade to a ps4. The HRAP4 Kai are also a good choice and are easier to get a hold of and cheaper if price is a factor for you. Either way you are getting a quality stick.
