Um. That's cause Sega has been a) shit this gen b) NIntendo's franchise revivals have been decent.
With a name like Alex Kidd... you expect it to sell if gamers have no nostalgia factor? :lol :lol
Actually Sega has not been crap this Gen. Thier Franchise revivals have been just a secent as Nintendo.
Shinobi
Panzeer Dragoon orta
outrun 2
Virtua fighters 4
Toejam and earl 3
Ecco the Dophin
Sonic adventure
Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 and 2.
Jet Set Radio future
House of the Dead 3
are all good games.
other new fanchises that are good
Super Monkey Ball.
Skies of arcadia
Beach spikers
Billy Hatchers.
I welcome Sega trying to bring back old Franchises. Sega can't seem to win no matter what they do. People cry for some old fanchises reborn: Nghts, Burning Rangers, Streets of Rage, ect..
When they do remake one, then it like "why did they make that game."
As for Nintendo being so great, I have heard many people cry that Nintendo no longer makes thier games as good as they used to. Things like Mario Sunshine is crap, Zelda : wind Waker is to easy, and Metroid Prime is no good. Do I believe these people, No. I also feel you seem to have some Bias against Sega.
To say Sega totally sucks this generation is incorrect. Have they constatly made as many great games as they did when they were supporting thier own system? no. The thing is they no longer have to bring out 50 games a year, becuase they no longer support thier own system.
I will say one thing, Besides Outrun2 and Puyo Puyo Fever, I feel 2004 was a bad year for Sega, but before that it was all gold.
I know the Sega I love will return in time.
