Yep. Maybe I should make a Brawl mod with it. I mean recolours are pretty easy to make.
But it is why one of my dream features would be a way to make your own colour schemes. But that is such a pipe dream I know it won't happen.

Toon Link recolors are always my favorite. I don't know why. They always look so good.
Yeah, they put, seemingly, a lot of work into alt colors, so maybe they want it to be 'their' thing? I dunno.
I'd love a capcom-style palette editor. I mean, you can already customize their moves, why not their palette? Make it 'your' mario. And since it's custom, it's only for use locally and w/ friends.
I guess a major concern would be skin-colored ZSS. She'd still be glossy, though. Would that make it worse?

I remember seeing his real name was Mr. Peepers...but, interestingly enough, when I searched for a source, the article (a Nintendo World Report about the development of Kid Icarus) that was always linked that mentioned it seems to have been edited and now just says "the dog from Duck Hunt". So, I guess that's just a fabrication?

Yeah it's real close now. I haven't been this hyped for a game in a long time, trying hard to not get too carried away! Reminds me of the pre-Melee hype.
I'm already really happy with our roster too. I'll be gutted if Ganondorf isn't in it though as he was my main for Melee and Brawl. Probably will be a bit disappointed if Mewtwo and another Star Fox rep is absent too, but won't cry too hard.

I just can't wait to see the full roster. There's going to be a lot of disappointment; I personally think it's going to be below a lot of people's estimates, but I'm at a point where I'm fine with whatever.
I think once I know the roster I can really feel like "whelp, this is the next smash". I'm pretty tired of all the speculation to be honest. I feel like the closer we get to the full roster, the more people start pulling for more random and less likely characters, only setting themselves up for disappointment. I mean, I'm already seeing it myself with Issac. I'm perfectly content with the roster, but since we don't know what's left, I find myself wanting stuff I was fine not having before. It's a slippery slope.

Honestly I'm still putting my stock into just Shulk and Chorus Kids/Marshal like Gematsu said, perhaps with two surprises like Dark Pit and Mewtwo returning.
So anything beyond that will be pleasant.

Quite a few times recently I've put stock in seemingly fake leaks that turned out to be legit. Especially during XY, when we DID get an authentic leak from a playtester.

I can't really be disappointed since my expectations are largely set with what we have. I know there are more newcomers but I still expect them to be Shulk or RH Rep. So even though there are characters I'd love to have in the game, I'm already convinced they aren't in the cards and I'm very happy with the newcomers we have gotten.
Now, i'd love Game Boy or Duck Hunt Dog. I'd go nuts over K. Rool or Ridley, but I'm so convinced none of it would happen that I simply cannot be disappointed.

A duck hunt assist trophy could actually work well, birds fly around the screen with a target chasing after them. Laughing dog shows up as he always does, laughing or grabbing the ducks that are shot/missed

The 3DS version of the game releases in Japan in early September. I'm fairly confident the full roster (and other information) will leak within the next 3-4 weeks.
This is why I'm a bit confounded as to why we haven't seen more character reveals, even if they're veterans. If I had to guess, I would say that there are just 2 remaining newcomers. Still, that could easily be two separate reveal videos, especially if the characters are from different franchises.
The window of opportunity for Sakurai to reveal the remaining roster is certainly dwindling, as I really do believe that leaks will start occurring around late August from people who acquired the game early. That only gives Sakurai ~3 weeks from now to reveal what he wants to reveal.

I think some characters will not be officially revealed before launch. I could be wrong, but if past smashes are to go by, several veterans and maybe a newcomer or two will not be brought up before launch.
Then again, MK8 went whole hog with revealing the roster before launch, so who knows. Sakurai has expressed knowing that the internet spoils everything anyway.

I think we'll see all the newcomers. They wouldn't have prepared the kind of videos they have prepared if there was no intention to show them. Newcomers are advertising. There could be some veterans we don't see (Mewtwo pls) but we should know all of the new fighters before release.
