What's the Mass Effect canon: Male Shepard or Female Shepard?
Robin is canonically either male or female because it has no bearing on the narrative. Relationships, being how there are hundreds of different coupling combinations, obviously aren't canon either. Robin's role does not change with their gender.
He did a FemRobin the same reason FemShep is on the cover of Mass Effect 2. They're the same character.
Unless this was a joke, then I totally took the troll bait.
Though considering the Outrealms, every possible permutation of Robin likely exists somewhere in the FE multiverse.
Default Shepard is canon Shep. Anything done to alter his face turns the game into fan fiction.
Though even male Robin in Smash isn't canon because he doesn't have the right hair style, color, nor has my name.

It's a really great game, but be prepared to have to adjust to it. No one has beef with the first leak since 1. it was credible from the start 2. turned out 100% true. The beef is with the new information of the second half and beyond which is extremely shaky. Chrom is not a fighter, Shulk wasn't revealed etc. The info it got right is basically just the info from the first half which was repeated. Too many treat it as one big leak and thus conclude it is "90% correct". No, treat it as separate leaks and realise that anything beyond the first leak should still be taken with a grain of salt, even more so now.

Don't give up on this game! It's worth completing at least once! Make sure you get in there a buy counter and dodge at the earliest opportunity between levels.
Playing through W101 has me thinking that those characters should be in this game in some capacity, beyond just being a trophy
Was bored, so decided to do my roster prediction. Kinda has 60 characters, but 4 of them are clones, several of them could easily be cut, etc. Still, I guess this would be my "final roster with DLC characters included." Bowser Jr. is supposed to be the Koopa Clown Car character. It's based heavily on the recent leaks, so once those get disproved (which they likely will), I'll probably change it around some.
I really do think Tetra's the most likely new Zelda rep, by the way. We've been getting tons of female character, she was arguably intended for Brawl, and she's one of the few characters to be in multiple Zelda games. It would give us 3 different Zeldas...but they're all pretty different, and arguably they're all from different time periods (since Zelda's been more from Twilight Princess than OOT since Brawl).

Here's the same roster, trimmed down to be more in-line with expectations on how many characters will be in the game. 51 characters instead of 60.

i thought the gematsu leak was the only reason chorus men were ever a possibility, and that was proven fake after the robin trailer. did i miss something? people still seem to bring them up a lot.

A lot of people still hold that there could be some merit to the second Gematsu leak since it is supposedly from the same source as the first one, and things could have changed after the leaker got his information. I mean just until a few weeks ago many thought the leak was concrete, but after the Robin and Lucina reveal who knows what could happen next. Maybe Shulk and CM are the final newcomers, maybe it will be them plus others, or maybe Shulk and CM aren't in the game at all. We are just a bit over 40 days from finding out for sure...
Duck Hunt Dog falls in between Bandana Dee and Koopa Car.
1) There's Rhythym Heaven enemies in Smash Run, some people take this as reason to believe that it'll have a rep.
2) Gematsu leak wasn't proven fake, just proven that his info isn't all-encompassing nor 100% accurate. There's a good chance he'll still have been right for 10 out of 11 characters.
3) Duck Hunt Dog was in some recent leaks that are likely fake. I think it's just people trying to guess what Sakurai's next "what the fuck"/retro character rep will be, a la R.O.B., Pit (in Brawl anyways), Ice Climbers, and Game & Watch.

Wii Fit Trainer is pretty what the fuck, but at the same time, Wii Sports/Play/Fit getting some sort of representation wasn't all that unlikely. I think a lot of people assumed it would, but only through Miis, not Miis and WFT.
As for Retro characters, its odd this time around. We have 3 arguably retro characters in Little Mac, Pac-man, and Mega Man. However, all have had new games in the last 5 years, unlike Pit (at the time of Brawl), Ice Climbers, R.O.B. (not counting cameos), and Mr. Game & Watch. So it's a bit different this time around. Plus, two of them are third parties, though I don't know if this would affect anything.

Actually, it didn't turn out 100% true. The first leak said that all 6 characters would be revealed at E3 (similar to how he implied Shulk would be revealed on Monday) and only 3 of them were, which is why a lot of people didn't believe it for the longest. Not even when Little Mac was revealed did some people believe it because "Little Mac wasn't revealed at E3 like he said." Both leaks (or both parts of the leak as I prefer to call them) got things wrong and both got things right.
Just like with the first part of the leak where we had to wait a while for Little Mac, Pac-Man and Mii before it was validated, we'll have to wait a while for Shulk and the Chorus Kids for the second one to be validated. I still think of them all as one big leak and I will continue to do so until the game is presented to us within the next couple of months. It's all just a waiting game.
If only there was some retro character who hasn't been in Smash yet. Perhaps someone who had an NES game and none since. Perhaps some sort of samurai, a unique archetype not yet represented in the roster. Maybe Nintendo could bring awareness to this character by releasing his game on the eShop weeks before Smash came out. IF ONLY THERE WAS SUCH A CHARACTER.
