What is wrong with that? Complaining about a game which isn't even released yet is kinda silly.

It's all people have to go off at the moment, to think that all of our concerns would be addressed when there's no precedent or guarantee that such a thing would happen is just as silly.

It wasn't even a major complaint either, he wanted to discuss how good defensive options are and put forward his doubts about the game.

I mean it's not even worded abrasively like one of my posts would be so why there was such a backlash I'll never know (Well, I do, it's Brawl apologists looking at most of the posts in the thread).

Did you read the OP? His tone isn't that of complaining, but explaining how the tweaks to shield properties may make the game more defensive and worse for competitive play, assuming they don't change before release.

You think posts like "eyeroll.gif This again? Shut up until release." are appropriate responses? I don't even agree with him, but that's not conducive to discussion. It's like something a 12 year old fanboy would say. What, we can't discuss anything that seems bad about an upcoming game? Seriously?

I'm having a hard time mentally conceptualizing this. What does that mean exactly?

NOTE: Someone saying they liked/loved Brawl and/or liked/loved Brawl more than Melee/64 doesn't automatically make them an apologist (I'm sure you probably already know that but I just felt I should be explicit in this regard at the start of this potential conversation).

Thanks heath, et al for adding me back on 3DS. There are about 13-14 people who I added from that list who haven't added me back! Get on it, slackers! :)

I lost tracks of whom adding me so I hope that I added everyone that added me as well. Let me know if I missed anyone.

I view both Melee and Brawl apologists as people who can't explain why their game of choice was more fun to them. For example "it's not worse, just different" is so annoying because it doesn't even bother to explain the difference let alone tell me why they liked it or why that's even a good thing.

"Ohh, this thing. Looks alright. Jigglypuff's a bit of a mess. The hitboxes and animations look surprisingly decent. Probably wouldn't spend more than a few minutes with it though..."

~Sora~

"HOLD THE BLOODY PHONE, SORA! FUCK YOU SMASH 4, SMASHFLASH 2 FOR EVO 2015!!1!
Dont worry, Sora will be added to smash 7 to celebrate KH3 release for all 10th generation consoles

If someone added me, tell me. I don't want to add everyone because I dislike when I add someone and then that person doesn't add me back, and I don't want the same for you guys, so yeah, if you add me be sure to tell me.

I added everyone from the list Yesterday, and looking know, you still havent added me.....so....GET TO IT! xD

Im wondering if I should bet for a vet reveal this week or not....

Meowser made me laugh out loud when I got to it. If it was supposed to be intimidating, it failed horribly. Bowser wearing a cat suit and running around a stage would be the most awkward and out of place final smash in the entire game. Bowser in Smash isn't really as goofy as he is in his own series.
Bowser has rarely been intimidating. Meowser was amazing for the very reason that they went with this cool left field approach to Bowser than doing something try hard like Giga Bowser in Smash. The Mario series should always try for fun and whimsical like Meowser rather than Bowser and Yoshi's final smash.

Id say Bowser stopped being intimidating after SM64. First of all his appearance and voice acting in Sunshine (lol). Second he started to become playable in everything from karts, sports, and smash so people had more familiarity with him. Third the rpgs made plenty of jokes and different things at Bowser's expense.

I've added everyone on the list from yesterday.

When we get closer to release day, I'll look through the list again and try to add anyone new to the list.

Yoshi's final smash is taken directly from Super Mario World...

At the very least, Sora makes more sense as a third-party character than ruddy Snake. Three really good Kingdom Hearts games, Chains, Re:coded and DDD (and Days shhhh) were on Nintendo handhelds and he fits in with Smash's aesthetic rather well. I'd also like to imagine KH was an influence on Kid Icarus' ground stages.

Ha, just got to end of the SmashFlash2 direct.
Goku, Naruto and Isaac in one Smash game, WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW SAKURAI?!

Peach Final Smash could be "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." She conjures up a whole bunch of baking equipment and uses her Super Princess Peach fire AOE attack to immolate the other fighters and concurrently bake her cake, which she then eats to replenish most (if not all) of her health and KOs the now insanely-damaged fighters with a frying pan.

So, on the topic of newcomers, here are some character I would find nice:

Just like in the original NES game, this character ought to be quite slow but powerful.
Could potentially work as dual character (Ice Climbers) if his opponent is also used.

Seems like a rather natural choice, though for licensing issues it may not be.
Anyway, I suppose he could have a spinach meter which increased his power there more he eats.

I really like the Electroplankton event in Brawl, and they can obviously be implemented in some way.
Perhaps have it some kind of floating/flying character and you can change between different planktons.

Amiibo $$$. Not sure what the playstyle would be, but certainly something wacky.
Don't even wanna consider the Final Smash.

Pac-Man is already in, so why not include Don-chan as well?
Melee character, could be centered around rhythm in some way.

I find Joy Mech Fight quite incredible for being a NES game. And as it is one of Nintendo's earliest fighting games, I think he's a given.
Sadly the game never saw a release in the west. Was included as a Sticker in Brawl though.

Zip as a character may not be too interesting, but the way you could control him could be. Imagine that you don't use the analog stick, the D-pad or any other conventional way of moving.
Instead you use the gyroscope to fling him around the stage; attacks are carried out via the A-Y buttons, shoulder buttons etc.

Does weekend Smash-gaf usually have such lovely vocabulary?
