This one

to celebrate new thread, so I will present the rumor from Smashboards. The source is JohnKnight1 and TheThirdKoopa. I got rid of all opinions, so people wouldn't get confused with facts and opinions.

Take it with grain of salts

Thanks Intelli! I really enjoy these kinds of details. Books based on Smash's multiple developments would be really interesting; I'd probably reread them a few times over =p

Oh yeah, Lucina Figma incoming.

Wait, is it already out?

looks awesome. I might get the Amiibo though to save some.

That one is probably my favorite Chrom x Smash joke so far, cause the reference it is making is a nice parallel to Chrom's deconfirmation.

Guys, question:

Who would you want to be revealed next, and why?

Shulk or Chorus Kids?

Chorus Kids are infinitely more interesting in how they would play to me than Shulk, so them. Although, on the flip side, I do like surprises, so maybe i'd rather have Shulk first.
King K Rool or Ridley over both of them, though.

Out of curiosity, is your enthusiasm for him from playing the original game or just liking the idea of his character in Smash?

I can say that for myself, it's definitely more of the latter, but I'll definitely be all over the Murasame release when it happens. The game always sounded right up my alley.

I played his game briefly but it was pretty tough for me at first try, but I felt that he could bring a lot of things into Smash 4 such as unique japanese castle stage, a new franchise to smash, hopefully unique move style, etc.

So do I.. But you must choose from them only!

Shulk, I guess since I only bought Xenoblade but I really need to start that game before I get major spoiled by Smash Bros 4.

You have Xenoblade and haven't played it?

Holy shit dude go start that shit up.

You really should, you know his reveal trailer is bound to show off a lot of things related to him.Especially with whatever possible stage is given, so you'd be familiar with it in time.

I haven't played Xenoblade yet either >.>

I lent my copy to someone and I keep forgetting to take it back <.<

definitely before summer ends...
probably

I'm definitely in the "he could be a cool addition" camp, as I've never played his game. But a Japanese-esque stage would be awesome and he could bring a lot of cool samurai style to Smash.

My opinion too. I don't need him in the game, but the style of stage he would bring would be cool and he seems like he'd be a unique character and style not really seen in Smash. For a game that's very Japan heavy, we don't really have any outright Japanese type characters or stages.

He hates story and characterization.

This isn't really true at all. He prioritizes other things, but still likes his games to be full of personality. Sometimes that prioritization can be off-kilter (Sticker Star was an overreaction to feedback on Super Paper Mario, which had other problems they didn't identify), but he's not an SS officer going to basements looking for any semblance of story so he can rip it out while he laughs and laughs.

Miyamoto's game design philosophy is that the act of playing the game should always be its own reward. This is why you'll occasionally find unlockables in his games that have no tangible benefits, because he is of the belief that the process of unlocking it was what the player should really be enjoying. Again, not something that always works out. He's not averse to story and characterization, he just doesn't want it getting in the way of the gameplay.
