Yup, it's a misunderstanding, or they're just reading what they want to read. Nothing about that tweet says anything about a roster reveal. I may even go to the event on the 17th to check out the 3DS demo if I don't have work, but obviously all of the info from the previous event dates will be out by then anyway.

So we're talking about our most-wanted newcomers again? At this point, I've had almost everyone I really wanted (Mega Man, Palutena, Pac-Man) confirmed already, so I don't have too many "wishlist" characters left. As for the remaining realistic possibilities I'd still like to see as newcomers, it goes something like this:

1. Marshal/Chorus KIds/any Rhythm Heaven rep, really
2. Dixie Kong
3. Krystal (well, semi-realistic)
4. Shulk

And that's pretty much it. Two of those are very likely happening, and I can live without Dixie and Krystal! And if I'm being totally honest, the only one I'd be seriously disappointed about if they don't make it into the roster is a Rhythm Heaven rep... Shulk would be nice, but I can live without him fairly easily. I actually want him in more for all the Xenoblade music his inclusion means we'd be getting than for Shulk himself.

The most egregious example would be Paper Mario: Sticker Star, which was originally going to be more along the lines of the first two Paper Mario games, but was then changed due to his input. (Which was based on people's reaction to Super Paper Mario oddly.)

Hey all. Came back from San Diego earlier tonight and just wanna share some of my impressions of my experience at the smash event. It was great! Real excited for these games and i'm looking forward to purchasing both the 3DS and Wii U titles so I can enjoy them with my friends and family. Met some great people including the treehouse people. I went to E3 as well but I only played the wii u version once so I couldn't give you guys any thoughts about the game since I hadn't played the game, compared to earlier yesterday.

Keep in mind here, I am no competitive smasher, nor am I some kind of "know it all". I'm more along the lines of a casual gamer that enjoys watching others play too. I have played through the franchise since the N64 title though, so I have history. I'm also a fan of the community. Great people from there.

Regardless, here's my thoughts of the E3 build:

- Thought the physics were rather floaty. It's a bit more inclined to be more of a "defensive" type of fighting game in my opinion. I noticed (maybe it was just me) that there seemed to be a bit of input lag coming from the GCN controllers when playing as well.

- Some characters like Kirby play differently compared to past titles. Keep that in mind, even if you played Brawl.

- Knock back is a little slow in this build.

- I personally felt that some characters were a bit more harder to move around freely. By that, I mean they just felt a bit heavier to control. Especially fox. It's hard to explain. Might just be me though. lol

- The game seems to make you act a bit more cautiously when attacking another player, I think with items on FFA, this is what contributed to that since people were trying to win t-shirts. (I won some for my friends!)

- Didn't try all the characters but I can say that I really enjoyed Villager the most personally. He/She seems real unpredictable considering they have random moves like fireworks for the up-smash and whatnot. Still don't see the point of the down special tree. The villager's side smash has really bad range though.

- Fox is a beast for the item FFA matches for the demo. Used him each time and won almost every match. His Landmaster is great. He plays similar to brawl's fox.

- Little Mac is exactly what many others including Sakurai himself said. Great on land, bad aerials.

- I personally think that Marth wasn't very good compared to other Marths in previous titles. His attacks seemed to have less knockback and he seemed overall weaker to what i'm used to seeing. I hope they tune him up a bit. Kinda made me worried about Lucina since she might be weaker than him.

- The stages were gorgeous and colorful. Vivid colors popped and really set the stage for the epic fights.

- 3DS version controlled great! I don't know why people said there was lag. I didn't experience any lag during the Smash Run. It felt really smooth to me. The controls did take some time to get used to. Smash Run is a real interesting inclusion into the game and i'm looking forward to playing it more when I get my copy downloaded off the e-shop this october.

All in all, i'm aware again that these titles are still in being polished and tuned up before their releases later this year but I had a blast with the demo and am looking forward to the final games with all of you!
