Figured that get mass produced always look worse than their initial reveal.
Amiibos are cheap figures, so don't expect great build quality there. I'd say that Marth looks okay for the price, honestly.

Or the first one is the protype. The current ninja turtles line I collect does this all the time. The protypes are gorgeous but the retail versions are bad at timesSo is it possible the 2nd marth is an early prototype?
I think the light makes all the difference.Where did the first pic come from? The article the second one came from said it's the same figure that was at E3. Maybe the lighting in the picture just makes it look worse.

Fucking terrible.
Lemme tell ya.
I don't see Shulk happening.
Blah blah leak leak but really what's so great about Shulk? It's not like he was particularly compelling or engaging in Xenoblade. His design is pretty boring, visually. Mechanically he's just another sword-wielder, which was enough to get Chrom booted. I'd love some Xenoblade representation in the game stage-wise, but Shulk is just a boring dude, and hardly iconic enough to be worth having.
Here's another picture of the Marth figure from E3:
I seriously think these are all pictures of the exact same figure.
Do we know what the boxes for Amiibos will look like yet?
Still undecided on opening mine.

Even with the lighting changes, it looks like he's painted differently. Maybe I'm just not well versed enough to actually tell.

That would be cool indeedThey should've packaged the amiibos in a assist trophy like capsules.

I'm so glad they're not making Amiibos random like Pokemon Rumble. That would've been so damn annoying. That is a huge wasted opportunity!
Would have been a great way to package them if they wanted to do the 'screw you over random amiibo' thing by obscuring them w/ the weird ghostly shape.
Now I want them to sell some amiibos like that, maybe for 25-30% less $$$?That is a huge wasted opportunity!

Really can't wait to see this one. I'm gonna be so broke from these lol.The villager amiibo looks perfect. Seriously can't wait until Pac-Man and Toon Link are shown off. Since their designs are pretty simplistic, they translate pretty well to amiibos.
Also, Luigi in this pose for his amiibo. Enough said.

The Monado is hardly "some sword"
There's no way I'm not going to open my amiibo. If I'm going to buy it, then I want to actually use it.
