On a more interesting note, I really hope that Megaman's inclusion will have him using a lot of cross series music. I've been on a massive Battle Network binge lately and I'd love to hear some of that series' music put together in a medley or highlighted prominently. Two of Braves is still amazing. Then again, most of Battle Network 6's OST is incredible.

Character reveals don't work that way. Personally, having Megaman in alone makes everything else that follows meaningless to me but for most a single character they don't like being in ruins EVERYTHING because that character obviously is prevent <insert character of choice> from making it in

I think Impa is the most likely candidate, the Skyward Sword version. Or a mix of it and the classic N64 look.
Sure, she changes more than Link and Zelda in-between games, but she's pretty much the "fourth" constant character in LOZ. And SS was the first version of her since OOT where she had an active role.
Plus I find it interesting she was one of the first characters to be shown for Hyrule Warriors, before Zelda or Sheik. Seems Nintendo realizes the Impa character is quite well-liked.

Something I noticed, by the way, is that the Nintendo newcomers all are characters that have been either introduced fairly recently (Rosalina, Greninja, Lucina, Robin, Wii Fit Trainer, Miis) or are from a game that has had a fairly recent entry into their low game series (Little Mac and Palutena). Villager is the one exempt from here because he's neither a new character nor is his series one that doesn't have many entries.
There's not been a character that could be considered 100% truly retro, as in, this revives that character retro like the Ice Climbers, Game & Watch, Pit and ROB (sans cameos) have been. The closest to that are Little Mac and the 3rd parties.
And beyond Mac and the 3rd parties, I wouldn't consider any of those newcomers as "classic" characters either.
There's honestly only a handful of characters I'd consider "classic" left, and all of them are currently up in the air, or belong to a 3rd party.
