Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread XI: Where 90% correct equals 100% wrong

Tonight, uncle Sakurai will show us Break the Targets, and how each character has their own specific stage, as opposed to how it was horrible in Brawl.
 
Anyone keeping (super nerdy) stats like in the Brawl threads? When was the last time a Veteran was introduced outside of a Newcomer video?

I'll even take a target stage per franchise, which would still give us over 20 unique ones. Brawl's way of doing Break the Targets was awful.

Was there any reason to give Lana two movesets in the first place? Having Lana with the Book and Saria with the Deku Stick shouldn't have eaten up too much dev time.

It's been two months (69 days) since a veteran was revealed outside of a video, which was Ike. Ike came 45 days after the Smash Direct in April, which came 46 days after the last newcomer before it, Diddy Kong, in late February.

Overall, we don't seem to get veterans from POTDs much anymore, and I wouldn't be surprised if we only got veterans from videos up until release.

I dunno, I guess they really want each character to have at least two move-sets

The green forest attacks of the Deku Stick don't jive visually with blue Lana, imo

Ah I completely zoned out on Ike is Cut and trolling people with my avatar. Who was before that, Diddy? Lucario?

I completely forget half the time that Lucario was even announced.

I feel like Lucario could be seeing the most balance adjustments which is why we haven't seen much of him. I mean, his aura seems like it could be OP if not integrated right. Plus, Mega Lucario seems like a lame final smash if it just boosts you to full aura-although, and I could be completely wrong, but in the Smash Direct it almost seemed like he was able to stay Mega Lucario even after using his final smash.

I'd expect to see that kind of salt elsewhere, but never Gabriel. Being a Top 123-ranked Luigi Master suggests some kind of responsibility!

Seriously, though, no idea where that kid was going, but in his defense, he might not've been, either.
 
Sakurai is sitting on weeks worth of PotDs about Palutena's customizable moveset. He could probably ride out release just on those alone.

It DIDN'T WORK. People were too hyped/worried about Chrom. I was shocked as I've been able to get people ever since I first joined these boards with "What the hell is Fire Emblem?" jokes. For best results call it a shameless Shining Force ripoff.
