The reason I liked Snake in Brawl was because he didn't belong in the game at all. It's weird to describe, but the reason he fit into Brawl was because he didn't fit in whatsoever. You can call everyone else in Smash a "mascot" but not really Snake, and somehow that just feels appropriate, that's what made his appearance in the game so entertaining. I don't know I'm not articulating this well.

I won't be terribly upset if he gets cut, though.
