The best kind of speed run is one that incorporates glitches and skips but still plays through enough of the game that I'm satisfied.

Wind Waker speedruns are all so long. Does that game not have all the crazy glitches that OoT has? 'Cause with that wrong warp in the Deku Tree, OoT can be finished in like 15 minutes.

It doesn't as far as I'm aware of. Wind Waker speedruns have to rely on clipping through walls and skipping events and triggers to move forward in the story.

EDIT: But there are some rather neat glitches like zombie hover which can be both hilarious and disturbing. I don't know if that is ever used in a speed run though.

I don't really think it's a big deal. All of those costumes will inevitably be available in the eShop. It's just a bonus where you can get certain costumes free depending on where you preorder.

I don't know what the general reaction would be, but I wouldn't like it. Even though I have a preorder myself, I don't like the idea of preorder DLC because it cheats people who didn't preorder the game out of content. Preorder bonuses like posters, OSTs, and other little trinkets are fine because they don't affect the gameplay at all.

I hate when they do this for any game, and it saddens me that Nintendo is doing this.

I'd however expect exclusive Amiibos, which I'm OK with as long as they A) don't make a small limited quantity to sell at $50 a pop and B) don't require the purchase of an entire system or the game in order to get a specific Amiibo.

Yup, though at least now they have a digital platform. I'm not sure about Diancie, I know there's a movie with it in Japan so you may have to physically go somewhere to get it.

If you want some crazy exclusive content, check out Yokai Watch 2. There are two versions, and each version comes with a coin that has a QR code. Scan the QR code in game to get a special attack for one of the monsters, along with a bunch of other goodies. But if you buy it digitally, you don't get the coin but get an exclusive yokai. So there are two retail versions and two digital versions all with different bonuses. It's mind-boggling.

diancie still requires you to go to the movies at least in japan (a lot of the evnt pokemon at least in japan requires you to go to specific events)
