Pic of the day. Victini and Xerneas are both support Pokémon. Victini's Victory Star boosts the attack of whoever throws the Poké Ball, and also prevents flinching. Xerneas's Geomancy increases the launch power of all fighters, but exceptionally raises it for whoever had the Poké Ball.

Nice POTD.

Sakurai's quote:

woah thats actually really cool

We finally know what Xerneas does, and a little extra on Victini's power.

Imagine a Geomancy-boosted Eruption, KO Uppercut, or Falcon Punch! Guaranteed KOs.

I LOVE that they chose this stage for smash! Best environment in XY IMO

So Robin's nosferatu does more damage if hit from the back.

And know these too pokeball pokemon have buff moves.

Shulk is so close I can feel it.

That's really interesting.

Did anyone notice at the SDCC 3DS tournament that when Xerneas popped all the characters (the ones who survived anyway), ended up with red outlines? And if we remember from the Find Mii PotD, that Red outline means increased attack, so it seems like the colors of outlines each have a specific meaning.

OK, I REALLY have to get to bed right now, even though we're about to hit page 360/180, so I'm just going to make this my last call for the Thread Title Suggestion Box (QUOTE TO REVEAL LINK and all that), and shut it down and set up the poll when I get up. Unless we still aren't at 360/180 yet. Or something big happens and you guys manage to burn out the rest of this thread in the span of 8 hours.

Wii Fit Trainer's Deep Breathing move is also highly reminiscent of Xenoblade's timed b button prompts. Just missing the b button icon in the middle.

What a fun pic of the day! The Elite Four stage is really great.

I wonder if Victini is as rare as the event legendaries traditionally are? Its effect doesn't seem to warrant being that rare - but then again, neither did Manaphy's in Brawl.

Love this stage.

Just hoping that there isn't a stage boss...

Damn that's a nice PotD. That stage is going to be the new FD.

i think it will depend on master ball frequencies vs regular pokeball frequencies i think

Eh, Victini deserved FAR more

HE should've been OHKO'ing everything with VCreate, getting slower and easier to dodge per hit, and gradually you could get rid of him early by damage (ala ATs), he'd take more per connecting hit, although he can't take damage until after first connecting hit

I just really like Victini

Well we already know it transforms into different halls in the E4. Id imagine maybe some pokemon appearing that were some of the elite 4s signature pokemon.

It'll be very surprising if it doesn't have an FD version at least.

What?! CAN YOU KILL AT's?!

My browser crashed a bit ago so I lost track of this thread so quick question. Has Anth0ny posted his write up on his time with Smash 4 yet? If he has can someone link it?

After 100%ing Prime Trilogy, I thought it was only appropriate that I 100% the other Wii Metroid.

And by that I mean Metroid Prime 3. :-D

It's like reverse pokemon
