I told everyone from fucking Day -1 that Lucario was going to be a problem just because he fills all the criteria for what I'm now calling the (Dark) Phoenix/Vergil Phenomena. He takes advantage of inherent system mechanics/game design and individual character quirks to create a problem that would require the complete scrapping of numerous mechanics in play at a system level or a removal of a quirk that is unique to the character in order to "balance" things.

When this game still had vectoring, I said he was a dark horse for best in the game just because surviving to anything past 80 guaranteed him access to the aura buffs and vectoring made that shit child's play. Even now without the threat of vectoring, he's still there and people are just coming to realize that despite us being in the Diddy Regime.

Yup, the aura + rage buff is just ridiculous.

Honestly tho, as a Lucario player I'd take an aura nerf if it meant getting a better neutral and low percent game =__=

Short hop back-air breaks blocks really easily and has such little landing lag that you can keep tossing them out and stay mobile. If you can do just that for 2 and a half minutes while using your yellow blocks wisely, not dying and using the occasional Smash attack if you end up smothered, you can get a 450-500+ chain with little effort. Got it on the second try just spamming short hop bairs and saving those yellow blocks for the right moments. If it wasn't for Heavenly Light being so damn ridiculous I would've done the 50000 block challenge with just Doc.

The only answer is maining DDD and smashing him off the stage at 60%.
 
Lucario was always going to be trouble. But even with Rage and Aura, he's not high tier. Glass cannons tend to be that, made of glass.

i did pick shulk and just counter in a 2 vs 2 game, almost won haha , the power of the counter D:
 
Yeah, I'm not even knee deep into the 1v1 scene, but even before 3DS balance patch came out, I hoped to god Lucario would get nerfs. I'm not even competitive and shrugged off Rosalina, Yoshi, and Sheik threats, but I was always scared of Lucario.

Needless to say I got really salty when even CPU Lucario at 93% killed my ZSS at 64% with some air kick. All my efforts went into training that bitch's ass and now it's easy with some, but there's always that fear of Aura being too damn much too damn soon.

He also has damn near no range. Beyond that, at level even slightly higher than basic, Lucario's kills come from good play as opposed to high Aura insta-kills.

I thought Lucario was good Day 1 but then i realized that he has no neutral game at all. The only way Lucario is ever going to hit you is if you let him. All of his moves are telegraphed as fuck. The only reason Sonic got hit cause he was doing some risky offstage strats that are clearly ineffective.
 
Ah. Going back home to spend my Christmas vacation there. Guess what I will be bringing along? Yep - my Wii U and Smash Bros. Can't wait to play this one with friends and family!

As an Ike main, this match gives me hope that Ike is mid-tier instead of low-tier.

Wish Ike was just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiitle bit faster, but love that he can survive into the 200% range, and Anther has priority over almost everything else.

I love rooting for players who use unique/underrated fighters as opposed to what's S tier. Shoutout to my boy Aerolink still repping Palutena (and doing pretty good considering) despite her low tier listing.

The fact that Nairo mains Zelda and Robin, and still gets results really inspires me. AeroLink repping Palutena is another player I'm really wowed by.
 
Can I buy all trophies from the shop or are there any only unlockable through certain tasks?
except the Solo mission and allstar character trophies, I mean.
 
I have the worst luck in Crazy Orders. I was hit Dedede with a home run bat, but my teammate Olimar HITS HIM on his way out so it cancels the animation and he falls back to the stage, where he grabs a bullet bill and kills me. RIP THREE NEW CDS.
