I think the Smash cycle has changed from Ridley too big arguments to Ridley too big jokes.

With all these NFC figures thingy going on, do you guys think it's a good idea for smash to adopt the idea and make some smash NFC figures? It'd be kinda neat to use them to unlock some features in SSB4WiiU(not characters though, because it will be a rip-off lol), SSB is a figures fighting game after all. I'd buy all of them! Yes, I'm that crazy when it comes to SSB lol

Smash figures sounds like a potentially cool idea but I'm not sure what kind of content would it unlock without being a rip-off like you said.

I'm so excited for Smash Bros 3DS and Wii U. I already know Wuhu Island is my favorite stage so far. Hope Smash Bros. 4's Final Destination will physically look similar to Melee's while being more dynamic like Brawl's.
Also I just got to thinking, with Bowser's newer style of play, how will Giga Bowser work? Will he return pretty untouched? Will he return at all? Hopefully if he does not return as a final smash he will be a boss like in Melee. I loved Event 51!

May be costumes and special figures?
Say a figure of Mario unlocks Dr. Mario costume and figure, then it wouldn't be a rip-off because the unlocked content is not essential to the game, you only buy them if you like them.
Strangely enough, I'm not big on collecting things, but Smash figures would be something I'd like to collect.
Sakurai seems to have a Mother 2 shirt too, it looks like a battle background of that game. I'm getting a bit dizzy looking at it.
