It's it just me or has the posing of his legs been tweaked (you could say the same for his other poses). Didn't this taunt have a hidden "hit the opponent just right and they go flying" effect in Melee but removed in Brawl or was it just his Up B?
 
If you think an alien cat fetus doesn't look as cool as an Egyptian fox muppet wearing highwater hammer pants... Well, that's fine. But does anyone actually think that Lucario has a cooler moveset than Mewtwo? I am curious. Mewtwo was fun to use in Melee despite the floatyness and lack of killing power, and I would imagine if he was buffed it would be even better.

Think you have it mixed up with his Up B. His taunt always had a fixed knockback I believe.

Maybe the art of MegaMewtwo battling MegaLucario in the CoroCoro scans is foreshadowing something... ;) I doubt it, lol, but how cool would that be? There's no reason Mewtwo and Lucario can't both be in Smash Bros.!

I know there's next to no chance but I'd love to see Ghirahim in this game. He would be a perfect fit imho.
 
I think both Lucario and Mewtwo should return,with their MegaEvos too. But I hope it's an alternative character, not a final smash... I wanna play as MegaLucario. :(

I just think it's highly unlikely that they include him mainly because of Ganondorf. Two Zelda baddies? I don't think so. And there's no chance in hell they're gonna cut Ganondorf out of the roster.

Except Zoroark will never make it in, unfortunately. :(

I love Zoroark, but his signature ability, Illusion, wouldn't really work out well at all for Smash Bros., and Zoroark without Illusion...just isn't Zoroark.
 
I will assume that everyone that has posted that hasn't answered my Mewtwo/Lucario question agrees with me.

I've just realised what's been nagging me about that. The original landmass, due to the way the mode 7 background is configured, is perfectly square. What's the landmass in the bottom-right? It's not on the original, and is outside the borders of the original texture.
 
I am fine with Groose or Skull Kid taking the place of Toon Link. Diversify that portfolio.
 
I think Groose or Ghirahim have a chance. The latter has lots of potential for this game. I'd love to have him in it.
 
Brawl and Melee had two Links too many. Do we need an army of Donkey Kongs and a gang of Jigglypuffs as well? How about we replace half the roster with a rainbow collection of Marios that have appeared throughout the years?

Also I want them to update Jiggs with fairy powers. Like replace Rollout with Draining Kiss!

But it is more fun to play as characters with different properties of the same moves rather than playing as characters with completely different movesets. Logic be damned! We must have NES Pit and Game Boy Pit too!
 
But the only way of playing a link that isn't shit is via toon link.

Also link needs his spam stab attack that he had in melee back.
 
Or they can just buff Link instead of wasting a spot on the roster.

I think we all know that isn't going to happen.

I'm starting to get an increasingly bad feeling that the only veteran they spent some time on making better was bowser.

I hope and think I'm more than likely wrong, but I just can't shake the feeling from the back of my mind.
 
Sakurai stressing the importance of balance in interviews and how he isn't the only one doing it anymore, actually has me feeling this game will at least be better than Brawl in that regard.
 
What was the thing where he said he isn't going to so Single Player story because the cutscenes end up on youtube?
