I could see that being a neat playstyle. Trident plus magic seems like a unique combo.

A Ganon that doesn't have an energy ball attack that can be volleyed back and forth is no Ganon at all.
Probably the angle of the shot making villager look bigger closer to the screen.
We'll see in more shots, maybe it's the outlines.
Part of me is a little disappointed that the 3DS Villager isn't Female or customizable--that we know of anyway.Todays picture
Her proportions are weird, I think. Look at her feet; they look huge, or way bigger than they are in the Wii U version, at least.
The two aren't that drastically different, I'd be surprised if female villager isn't an alternate skin.
Male Trainer is something I'm less confident about but still really hopeful for.
This is tie-in content to the games, and many elements of related media casually appear in Smash. There are numerous Right Back at Ya! references for example, and Pokémon use their anime voice (which are notably "non-canon" to the games, where Pokémon don't say their name). There's no ground rule against non-game-based content as long as it's game-related.

This would actually be less of an issue in For 3DS because it's got more available memory than the Wii did, and even if it's loading on the fly instead of storing it in memory it's still got faster access speeds with cartridge/SD card than the Wii's slow DL read speeds.

He's taller than F-Trainer in Wii Fit albeit not by much, but the different proportions might be troublesome to keep parity if he's just a costume.
I wonder if they are actually gonna follow up on that and make him use the stupid thing.

This would be cool. Hopefully they do obvious ones like Link and Dark Link as well. They have done nice with Mario and Luigi's color schemes. It's nice to see Fireball Mario or Jumpman Mario as costume colors...but bigger changes beyond colors would be cool, wheres my frog suit?

I'm assuming it's one of those little details they cut down on to get the game to fit on the 3DS. Can't say as I blame them. Reminds me of PS1-era 3D, where nobody even had proper fingers modelled...

He is a clone, but Super Metroid's Ridley could very well be a clone as well.
I mean, what would you consider the "real" Ridley?
Ridley's probably a clone in Super Metroid also, since it's never specified how he came back after Metroid 1/Zero Mission. Doesn't really change anything.
If you want to get technical, he's a clone of a clone in Fusion because he's an X-Copy of the rotting corpse from Other M.

Well, uh... I woud consider that the cool one is the real one I guess. Haven't really thought about it.
Yeah, I know that Fusion Ridley is not the "real"one either, but I didn't know of the Other M course.
They way I see it, the cool one is the real one, then he died and made him into Meta Ridley from Prime, but he's still the same dude. The Other M clone and the clone clone are just jealous schmucks.

Well. Although the manga's canonicity is questionable, Other M certainly takes elements from it such as Samus being attacked and traumatized by Ridley when she was 3 years old. The manga's explanation for Ridley being able to come back after being "killed" is that he can regenerate his body by consuming flesh.
So technically he is the real Ridley. The scientists just accidentally saved his cells and allowed them to regenerate. And then he evolved by battling the scientists and Samus' group to gain EXP (and eating flesh).
He was augmented with cyborg parts.
Better question is, how the hell did he come back after Prime 3? Probably cloning, although some people believe that he survives the last boss fight because he doesn't register on the kill counter and he "dies" in a weird way (He either sinks into the ground or flattens).
I like thinking that it's the same Ridley in every game, since it makes the appearance of his corpse in the freezer in Fusion a nice shock moment.
