You're right, but having played Project M recently, I loved playing them as individuals and seeing how it would be like.
About Project M. When did the game change from Project Melee into Project Marvel? The game is a travesty now.

The Pokémon Trainer concept is as good as it could possibly be within the confines of Smash Bros.' mechanics. Having to switch out Pokémon is the whole point of the character. If you could use Charizard for the whole battle without repercussions, for instance, then the character becomes Charizard and not Pokémon Trainer.
Probably'll grab a bunch of Generations tracks and call it a day.
It's too bad that we're not also getting Blues/Protoman in this game.
He's on my wish list... we didn't get knuckles either. I don't think secondary 3rd party characters have much of a shot![]()

The best thing about Project M is that when Smash U comes out Smash Boards will complain it's not like their game.
I'll be okay with this (unless you mean that's literally all they would put in).
The three starters would be completely arbitrary additions as standalone characters, especially Ivysaur. It completely undermines the Pokémon Trainer as a design concept. ...I don't even know what I'm trying to argue, though. Pokémon Trainer isn't going anywhere, and I doubt the mechanics behind the character will change much if at all.I'd be fine with that. Project M splitting up the three characters, with no need to worry about "stamina" and giving them their own Down+B's was one of many things that I thought was a good idea.
I mean, it was bad enough that you auto-switched upon death. But then being forced to switch because your active character's stamina was low? It just was more annoying than anything else.
But there's Marth.Lucina has to be in. I like the idea of a sword-weilding chick.
It's going to be a picture of Sakurai's cat.I'm gonna be the new Smash Prophet:
Tomorrow's screenshot is going to be posted by a man known as.. Masahiro Sakurai.
It will feature a game called... Super Smash Bros?
If i'm correct on my not-so-obvious prediction, you all can freely pay me £100.
Then again, Sonic Generations itself also had a truckload of songs that were just ported from other Sonic games.I wouldn't be too surprised, no. It's well produced, comprehensive, and saves everyone some work.
That said, SSB always aspires to a higher class of effort, and we'll probably see the series represented better all around this time since it won't be an 11th hour addition. Revamp Sonic's moveset to be less shit and reflect the wisps and other powerups, get more than one hastily cobbled together Senoue jam, etc.
But there's Marth.
My monster hunter in MHTri was named marth. It was always funny when people found out it was a girl character

Marth is integral to the FE series. He won't be replaced by a cosplayer with peg legs.

Newcomer Cat rolls into battle!![]()
Not gonna lie, he has a cute cat.

Man, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/for 3DS is such a boring name.
Why did they decide to keep that? There's a ton of fighting related words they could use.
You're going to be wrong Porky!
I'd rather the PT was a Zelda/Sheik-like character in that you could switch out arbitrarily, with no hiccups. Be a much more enticing choice strategically.
I just want more girls. Since Lucina is basically Marth already (at least in FE:A promos) I could totally see them giving her his moveset.
But we all know Marth AND Ike AND Lucario AND Pokemon Trainer will be back and there will be lots of new KI:U characters and zero new Metroid characters.

The games don't have names yet, or at least that's what I'm thinkin.......

It baffles me that there's actually people who want Marth replaced.

1. Sakurai considers the new games #4 and #5.just call it smash 4, like the 'for' implies

2. Using 4 in place of "for" is so '90s.
http://kotaku.com/an-in-depth-chat-with-the-genius-behind-super-smash-bro-5307443901. proof to this?
Sakurai: [...]We're now going into versions four and five within the seriesthis is only something that's now possible.
Kotaku: When you say four and five, do you mean the 3DS and Wii U versions? Those are separate?
Sakurai: Yeah, exactly.
I've said it before but I think a Chrom/Lucina double unit would illustrate the pair up mechanic nicely.
