Once again, I'm a little annoyed that all returning characters seem to have all their old moves. Nothing wrong with mixing it up a bit.

The worst offenders are Mario with FLUDD and Luigi with his weirdo Luigi Boner stuff. Keep the best of the old sets, and add in a couple new moves based on their recent games.

Well, I think that we will get game way before December. I hope that we have 30-32 starter characters tho.

I really hope that Marth, Ness, Luigi and Falcon would be starter characters instead.

In any case, despite not really being a fan of the primary color direction, I think she looks awesome with it.

It does look a little awkward. The lighting especially looks a bit off, like a Barbie doll or something.

At least it's not Samus' decidedly OOC character art, though.

I really miss the Princess' original dress:

It complemented the simplicity of Mario, Luigi, and Toad's designs and was really easy to draw too. I wish they would include it as an optional costume for her, but I know that's not going to happen.

Then you should know why people consider Toad the fourth pillar of the group, Super Mario 3D World even brings this idea into the present day with a Blue Toad just like the original Super Mario Bros 2 (though that was due to palette reasons and t3DWorld is likely because Mario is already the Red One)

And technically Yoshi is just one of many. All the Pokémon are just one of many. Doesn't stop them being in this game.

A valid argument, and one that always sticks with me as a Toad fan.

You're right, it is too early. There is nothing to indicate whether we will or won't have as many newcomers as Brawl. You forget, each newcomer is getting their own special artwork and trailer, we may have to wait awhile before we see any new characters. The fact that we are getting a veteran every month and a couple of new stages is a thousand times better than the void of information that happened after Brawl's unveiling.

Also on the Toad discussion: you all are reading FAR too much into one screenshot.

SSB4 seems like it is detailed like SSBB, but they seem to use simpler colors and shading which leads to this result. It's much better than Brawl's.

Yeah, it's early and Sakurai went his way out to tell us that the game is still in development. I hope so too for more newcomers as secret characters because it would be awful nice to unlocking the surprises.
