A lot of shots of some characters like the Mario cast seem to show off new facial expressions which makes me wonder if there's a new animation system in SSB4. Something like TF2's where character's heads have their own emotional states and animations which aren't necessarily tied to what the rest of their body is doing.

TF2 still has some of the best animations in any video game.
Her animations are still incomplete, so hopefully the wonky shoulder is just a work in progress. That or her look of shock is reflecting that Luigi broke her arm.

Yeah, it seems as though she's hot off the press. Her fingers are clipping through the crown pretty hard in her Fair attack right now.
Hopefully they fix it, but idk. They left a bunch of weird animation glitches in smash that they probably didn't think anyone would notice. Only reason I noticed is because I used to make movesets in Brawl, and I looked at every frame of most character's animations.

This is the first shot that's TRULY wowed me, I mean Peach's face has life I've not seen in character models in like, ages. The lighting and how the skin looks with it, reminds me of Mario & Sonic Sochi, which is GOOD, that game has ridiculously good models and character lighting.
They just need to polish up the models (see Peach's arm) and up the poly counts (Luigi's ear for instance), but it's looking much more impressive, especially considering it;s officially running in 1080p and 60fps.
