I always laugh when I see this. And I've seen it like 100 times.
I've been messing around with other characters in Brawl a lot more lately, and I'm really having fun with Pit. It's a nice break from playing Marth / Wolf.
I'm also really liking him in Smash Bros 4 because of these changes;
Upperdash Arm covers quite a distance and seems strong.
I wonder if it'll be an effective kill move (I'm left relying on his back-air or glide attack in Brawl). But from the one video I've seen, it does seem a bit predictable and punishable...
I'm guessing it's going to replace his Angel Ring attack, which I'm fine with.
The second image I'm guessing is a buffed Wings of Icarus? You can see it happening here. If true, then it'll be amazing.
The Guardian Orbitars look great, but I don't know if it'll replace his Mirror Shield. They both seem quite different, and I actually don't expect the Guardian Orbitars to block melee attacks.

Dude my hype for Pokémon is only being tempered by the imminent Wind Waker HD right now. If not for that, I would be running around tossing my foam Ultra Ball at random objects.
I have been playing The Wonderful 101 and SMTIV (this game is hard...) to calm myself for October, sadly I will be playing the Pokemonzz at almost the end of the month because we can't have nice things in Mexico (by that I mean at proper release ): )
I'd play Brawl if there wasn't a piece of fabric shoved inside my Wii's drive preventing it from working.
Also, not hyped for Pokemon X because I cannot afford it on day one.
This disappoints me.
Outside of Smash, I'd hyped for Pokemon, Sonic, and Donkey Kong.
Guardian orbitars are the same as wolf's reflector. Pit is wolf clone confirmed.

I haven't played Xenoblade yet. I'm not huge on RPGs, especially long ones, because I tend to never finish them :< X looks amazing though, don't get me wrong. (Oh that reminds me I've ripped my copy of Xenoblade for Dolphin, I'll eventually play that next year)
I haven't really played much of either SMT and FE. The former I've only played Persona 3, which is pretty good, but way too long for my taste.
Mario Kart I enjoy but I never get hyped about at all. I kind of prefer Sega's All Stars Racing.
Pokemon I'm getting Day 1... but I just don't feel the "Excitement". I'll probably get excited when I boot up the game, who knows? TBH, I was kind of burned by Gen 5 lol
I still love Nintendo but my excitement... is just not there anymore. I'm sure all of those games will be good, though, for sure.
I'll be down for a new Kirby game though. I love Kirby games.
In my case I was really exited with TW101 and was not dissapointed by it (I still haven't finished it)
Sonic also looks awesome buuut.... dammit Nintendo why did you launch the cool games when I almost don't have anything to spare...
Also I'm planning on making a good gaming PC since Ps4 and One haven't convinced me yet.
I felt the same.
It got a little too samey and the lack of new announced features is making me feel this is just going to be another "more of the same" Pokemon game.
Saying that, i'll eventually buy it, because I feel religiously obliged to Nintendo.
Only upcoming Nintendo games I REALLY want are Smash Bros and MonHun 4 (often published by Nintendo in EU).

Mario Kart alone will keep me busy until this game came out. I fucking love my Mario Kart. Every other Nintendo game is just icing on the cake for me.

Do it. It's amazing.
You're right about it being long, though. I've spent 30 hours or so on it and I only just passed through the exit of Satorl Marsh, which, to my understanding, is still kinda early.
I still need to set up homebrew on my Wii U or something, rip the ISO and get this game into Dolphin at some point. It already looks damn good at 480p, but the jaggies kinda stick out like a sore thumb... something 1080p would eliminate quite handily.
My game taste is just so different from an average Nintendo fan. I'm not even huge into Zelda (although I really like Link's Awakening, Minish Cap and Wind Waker)! DKC I've barely ever played so I can't say I'm excited for DKCTF, that game looks DAMN nice though.

Um, oh, Mighty No. 9 is coming out for Wii U so there's another title I'm excited for! Even though it's a 2015 release...
Thankfully XY seems to be doing a lot so that it doesn't feel too samey. Which is why I'm so interested in it. It looks like what BW should've been.
I'll have to find a way to force myself to beating a game that long. 30-40 hours is the most I can take in JRPGs before giving up for good. My attention span just isn't good enough. I'm way too used to simpler short games.

Metroid, I can see myself getting excited as long as it's not another Other M. (TBH, I've never gotten into Metroid until last year, so I can't say I was ever hyped for a Metroid game since there has not been a new one since 3 years ago. At that time I've never beaten a Metroid game when Other M was announced.)
As for Mario, if they ever add online co-op to their platformers then HELL YES. DAY 1. Other than that, the platformers are kind of too frequent to the point I don't get excited anymore. They're still fantastic games though. I'll be also HYPED as fuck for a true Paper Mario sequel however. (SPM and SS weren't great

Yeah, Mario Kart ans Smash are my favorite franchises, apart from Zelda (but I can't get hyped for Zelda U, because it doesn't exist yet).
I just hope MK8 comes out early 2014 so it can keep me satiated until SSBU.

If you hate long games, Okami is not for you. xD It took me a good 60 hours to finish off the story with only little side quests doing.
I love a lengthy game as long as it can keep its consistency, like Final Fantasy IV DS, which lasted maybe 40-50 hours had me hooked thanks to gripping story, brilliant cutscenes and the epic gameplay (albeit waaay too hard at times).

The Upperdash Arm has "some" type of armor, so I imagine it will be a good move (a great move even, if it can kill)
I can't believe I'm admitting this but I still haven't played Uprising yet. I don't know why I missed it, but I did. Which is weird. Because I'm a huge Nintendo fanboy.
Based on what Sakurai said, I think Pit will still take normal damage from attacks that hit him while doing the upperdash arm, but it can't be cancelled by other attacks.
I'm ridiculously hyped for Pokémon X/Y, but I don't know if I will get both at launch, maybe get the Y later.

I owned Conker for the GBC (which was shit) and the GBC port of Donkey Kong Country (which was far less shit, but still, the SNES version's better by any metric).
And, well, that's it. I didn't really become a Nintendo kid until the Gamecube (was a diehard Sega kid up until that point), and didn't get Star Fox Adventures for whatever reason.
