They've revealed a few characters a day before or the day their games come out in japan though, which is why I think the 11th is the awaited day.

Expecting some little surprise tomorrow as others have said but nothing smash/Mario kart 8/yarn yoshi since they are all due out next year, they'll give us a direct closer to the end of the year to give us more info on all those. Maybe a teaser for a previously unannounced game due out next year though
Realistic: nothing Smash related in the Direct tomorrow. Most likely case as some others have said is we continue to get stage and character reveals through Sakurai especially when their respective games are nearing launch.

My Wavebird lost the squishy part on its stick and it stinks because the WB is honestly the best GC controller out there

That sucks. And I agree, I never got the Wavebird until a few months ago. I first tried out my friends' and it was the most comfortable controller. Soooooooo good.

Seems to be working perfectly fine for me.
If you're using the hackless method, make sure the SD card is NOT in the Wii U at all until right before you click the stage builder to load Gecko and launch Project M.
If you're using the homebrew channel, then everything should be fine, except Homebrew channel, and Project M by extension, will launch in a 4:3 ratio. You will not have that problem if using the hackless method.
I did both and can comfirm that. I also played a bunch of matches on the Gamepad in the 4:3 ratio (since I booted from HBC)

Alright, I'll try that out tomorrow then. I remember some people saying that back when I first got my Wii U, but it worked perfectly fine before this update.

Any of you project m fans, did you read the update about the possibility of adding new characters? They did say it was limited to characters nintendo already licensed for brawl (assist trophys most likely or bringing back other old melee veterans like Roy!) wondering who you would like to see fully developed into it's own character?
I think the custom robo assist trophy (mk something?) would be pretty fun! Also maybe out chance to play little Mac a bit before his inevitable smash 4 announcement
