Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 2: Where Pilotwings is apparently Minecraft

But seriously, I'm not holding my breath here. It'll probably be a close-up of Luigi's nose or something equally banal.

That said, I'd never have expected anywhere near the volume of returning veterans being announced that we're actually getting, so it shows what I know.

My greatest hope for this game is that Toon Link get his Boss Defeated dance as a taunt.

Greatest hope would be for Melee gameplay but I assume that won't be happening.

On the bright side there's no more tripping, the gameplay is faster than Brawl's and combos seem to make a return.

I want his "I owned the noobs at the auction house" dance (is it the same as the boss dance? Never paid any attention after beating the bosses lol) as a taunt.

The gameplay looks much improved at least. The Sonic reveal is a good example of the combos and speed. Looks like a mix of Brawl and Melee.

I loved my melee combo where I would hard throw a shell up and then grab the character as Kirby and do up throw. So easy to KO with that combo.

I've never combo as evident that I did not know there were combos in Brawl

And I didn't even know about combos until recently

I'm okay with no posting unless you have something worthwhile to say.

Always do, theres a chance pokemon trainer will be revealed tonight, however we should not assume PT will be the same PT as in brawl, sakurai has 6 gens of pokemon trainers to choose from, and of those 6 gens there are also female counterparts aswell, among those are multiple starter pokemon, I think the chance of pokemon trainer being someone else instead of red again, is quite high.

Ugh, please don't tease me with an image containing major'a mask and anything smash related. The fact I'll never see skullkid (possessed by majora's mask) as a character or a version of young link that has three forms (his three transformation masks) makes me incredibly sad and depressed. :(

I think the most I will realistically hope for with Trainer is a female/gen6 alt. I think the first gen starters will be back.

Also Trainer for tonight, I'm ready to be disappointed.

don't ask why this screenshot is on a t-shirt, but that was the costume I used whenever there was a homebrew Wii at any Brawl tournament I played at. so good.

also stop with this speculation we all know what's coming tonight

bring back real rest sakurai

Since Pokemon Trainer is a generic name and there is no hitbox issue it would be nice to get a female alt, only real hurdle is VO, which isn't a big deal.

And Jiggly does need a rest buff, it's so fun in Project M.

Basically the same thing, people bashing Sakurai and Nintendo for making sequels over and over again, but speaking out against it. The criticism to Nintendo may be valid (depending on your perspective, I guess...but not any less valid than against any other publisher, IMO)...but Sakurai...it's just a lashing out. It's sad because he's really brought some great stuff to the industry, but all that people can talk about is "LOL HE'S ONE TO TALK MAKING KIRBY AND SMASH FOR 20 YEARS".

Ugh...the fact that literally everything he says now that he started working on the new smash is constantly scrutinized and criticized is painful.

Ah I see. I always love most of his works. I haven't try his Kirby games yet but I thought he made like 4 Kirby games right?

Pokemon reveal tomorrow:

- 5 Wii U screens
- 2 3DS screens
- Same old trainer
- Detailed clothing

I'm calling it.

7 Wii U screens
3 3DS Screen
Pokemon Trainer
Cute but Vibrating color for all 4 characters

The disappearance of the Challenger Approaching banner combined with X/Y's release on Saturday almost guarantees a reveal tomorrow. It has to happen.

Bingo!

You guys are going to get your hopes shattered after staying up all night, like usual.

Psssh, they will survive at whatever they throwing at them.

My body is ready for Pokemon.

So, incoming screenshot of Toon Link.

Ready for Pokemon but we might see Peach if we didn't get any.

Yeah. Regardless of what nonsense is being spewed in that thread, this is the list of games Sakurai has personally designed and directed:

Kirby's Dream Land (1992)
Kirby's Adventure (1993)
Kirby Super Star (1996)
Super Smash Bros. (1999)
Super Smash Bros. Melee (2001)
Kirby Air Ride (2003)
Meteos (2005)
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (2008)
Kid Icarus: Uprising (2012)
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U (2014)

I'd say he has a pretty good track record.

With regards to majora's mask remake, i think there was an interview where they asked the zelda director and he laughed (an specifically told the interviewee to put that he laughed) do not holding out a lot of hope. I know skullkid is kind of a niche character, only featuring in one zelda game, I just really liked him as an antagonist. It would be cool to have the mask as an item but I agree, no idea what it would do. Perhaps they will bring back the termina bay stage to have a reference to a very underrated and under recognized zelda game

It look like I almost owned every games that he made, but I missed only one game which is Meteos. Yeah, he is one of my favorite developers, and I'm looking forward to see what he would make next. Hopefully he would get what he want.

Producer, and he said that is up to the big wigs, so Miyamoto, Iwata, and etc. I think it would be kinda easy for Grezzo since OoT and MM share a lot of assets.
