They better give Jeremy Jordan & Jessie L. Martin solo numbers. Their musical theatre talent can't be underestimated.

NPH and Whedon both name dropped. They did a Glee episode together. They're certainly aware of the fan demand and Music Meister was a choice in that direction versus using someone like Mxyzptlk. I think their intention is to go that route but need to make sure the money and schedules work out.
Rachel Bloom would be another great choice. She could contribute to the song writing process too. I would hope there's a few Glee alums in there too.

Don't get my hopes up for Rachel Bloom. Although, she would knock it out of the park with some original songs.
Sigh. Such a shame he had to leave Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, but I don't blame him. He wasn't sure if they would get a second season, so he secured more work. Good for him to get more work, but it was such a shame to see him leave. Even though it was a shit show in the end.
EDIT: Looking at that list again, Santino Fontana had so many damn good songs on that show.
