Apartheid is, in fact, not institutional racism
I just got Batman: The Animated Series - Volume 1 today because of Batman Begins (awesome movie by the way) and was wondering what the hell is up with not many of the Superhero tv show available in boxed sets. I don't want to by 30 dvds with 4 episodes each, I want full season sets.

Is there any chance in the near future the 90's xmen, 90s spiderman, batman beyond, justice league and even the hulk, iron man, and silver surfer cartoons come to dvd. Because the only ones the i think are out now are Batman: Tas, the Fantastic Four, and Vol. 1 of superman.

Don't know about the other shows, but I'm certain that all the DC shows by Bruce Timm and co. (Batman, Superman, Batman Beyond, Justice League) will all eventually be released.

Warner Bros seems to want to milk consumers as much as possible. After all, it took a long time for the Batman sets to come out, and instead we saw lots of random single disc collections which parents buy up for their kids. Then down the road we got the big volumes. Batman: TAS and Superman: TAS will be released fully on DVD, but so far no announcements have been made regarding comprehensive sets of Batman Beyond and Justice League. That said, I'd definitely count on them being done down the road, just after they've done all the small single disc sets that they can. Considering Batman: TAS will be completed by the end of the year, I wouldn't be surprised to see them move on to another series for next year.

As for the others, no idea. I'm sure if Marvel goes ahead with Iron Man and Silver Surfer movies that there'll be collections released then just like now with Fantastic Four. I have to admit, I didn't even know those characters had shows until you mentioned them.

I'd like some Justice League dvd's. But whenever's fine. Releasing Batman TAS is already a dream so they have my suppport. Hopefully Fox gets out some cheap X-men dvd's though. the animation's quality is so bad I really don't think I'd pay like I did for Batman TAS. Still, they did have their moments and it was a great series, but it's so hard to watch today with the animation and stuff you looked past as a kid.

when is vol 2. of superman coming out?
I believe volume 2 is set for a holiday release with volume 3 arriving around the theatrical release of Superman Returns. I'm pretty sure I read that those were the plans.

I'm disgusted that we've gotten Spider-Man MTV, Fantastic Four, and even the good old Spidey, but still no 1990's Spider-Man. What the fuck? I'm pretty sure Batman, Spider-Man, and X-Men, the 1990's incarnations, have gone down as the best comic cartoons ever.

Batman TAS? Yes. X-Men? Maybe. 90's Spider-Man? No.
