I watched through Marquesas, stopped, tried to watch All-Stars and then gave it up for good.

I was hooked for the first three though

I watched the first one, awesome.

I watched last years, awesome because they were all so f'ing dumb to believe/trust Boston Rob.

The first two were definitely the best I think. After those, I didn't care much for it. I watched All-Star and as soon as Richard Hatch got booted, I know it's way downhill from there.

Why watch Survivor if Apprentice and Amazing Race are way better?

I was just thinking this the other day. Survivor has gotten soooo stale. I hope Amazing Race is in better shape by #9. So far so good. Amazing Race is on #5 and is much better than Survivor at that point. All Stars was garbage. I'll try the new one for a few eps.

I don't know why All-Stars gets bagged on so much... I thought it had everything that made Survivor great. Not that it did it the best necessarily, but it had all the elements the others did.

Plus, it was the most emotional Survivor of them all with 2 contestants who gave up, one of which had a tearful farewell and made it home to see her dying mother right before she passed away... the other who was screaming humiliation at something the fat naked guy did to her. And finally, the Kathy/Lex vs Amber/Rob speeches at the end were the only ones who could rival Sue's speech against Kelly. Lex was so seething, he was crying. It's the only season aside from the first that I would like to own (and heck... looks like I get my wish...)

They have the All Stars on DVD already. I was surprised, I guess they skipped everything in between 1 and 8.

marquesas blew and pearl islands I just didn't care for at all. The rest of them were pretty good and I'll probably watch this new one.

The best season was Thailand though, followed closely by the first and second.

I don't know, I don't like girls that use lots of makeup, its so fake or something.

Survivor rocks! I missed the first episode though.

I am a HUGE Survivor fanboy... but so far this season's Apprentice is better than this season of Survivor.

I just dont see how people can stand to watch anything with that fag Trump in it. With that said the cast of Survivor has been pretty uninteresting so far.

Yikes. I didn't know anyone still watched that shit. I can't believe it's up to '9' already.

Sorry, I just can't stand that show, or most others like it. Reality TV blows. I blame The Real World for this outbreak of crap. I could probably stomach it, perhaps enjoy it, if the market hadn't been oversaturated the last 5+ years.

Survivor is the reason for their outbreak. Real World had been of for ever already when Survivor started and utterly bitch slapped every other show in ratings. Within a few months these shows were coming out of the woodwork.
