I love this game. Never expected to put nearly 100 hours into it and the free updates have added a surprising amount of stuff. That being said...


Scoring: Removed the event for kill assist & critical kill assist and replaced it with a regular kill. If you deal more than 25 damage to an enemy, you will automatically get a kill.


...this sounds crazy....for reference every soldier starts with 100 health. Not sure how to feel about this.

The Season Pass is just too expensive. Wish I'd waited to buy this game, as you can now but the Season Pass and a copy of the game for the price I paid for the base game.

Yeah, I think that's a bit too much. Hopefully they'll change it to 75 damage like in Battlefield 4.

thats an improvement of >10% so yes its a big advantage. it makes sense why dice limits exp pack content to a seperate playlist. its bad enough as it is. lol if vanilla players had to play against exp pack players who could also use the additional star cards that offer an even more enormous advantage. i played the first exp pack some time ago during that free weekend and its really not fun when they can just press 2 for full health and armor every single engagement

Uhm i can use all the DLC stuff on vanilla maps against people who dont own the DLC...

I really hope they change the spawn mechanic from having a partner to a squad at some point. I realize it's probably not going to happen, but it's frustrating playing with more than 1 friend on the big maps and spawning widely different places every time

All those Bounty Hunters you listed had same amount of screen time as Dengar. And Dengar technically has had more screen time in comparison due to being an actual talking character in the Clone Wars TV series. Only Bossk was given some of that treatment.

I picked it up for £12 from Amazon UK recently on PS4 and played from level 1. Actually, it was fine - it matchmade me with lots of low level players still. For £12 it's a steal by the way - a price worthy of the game, basically.

The upgrades they sell in the PS store is stuff you unlock in the normal game. The majority of the player base already has it. It can be obtained in a few hours. It is essentially an unlock all button. (That's what I was reffering to in my original post)

The other cards and contracts added in the dlc is available in all playlists. The Bacta bomb was also also part of a free update. Nearly everything in your post is incorrect. Nothing about any of it is pay to win either. If they sold charges, you could make an argument there, but they don't.

Yeah i would really love to have a Squad instead of a Partner.

But they probably would have to redesign/balance everything out for Squads to work. Hopefully for Battlefront 2 then :)

Dengar has been in the Clone Wars series though, so it's not just his brief appearance in ESB.

So just like overwatch pretty much, I have no problems with this at all.

I probably wouldn't have felt such a burn if I had paid that price. It is good to see that there are still lower level players to be matched up with. It would make for a better experience, I'm sure.

The new partner system works really well though. I've never been without a partner so far and the recharge bonus is great.

DICE is taking a lot of inspiration from Rebels and to a lesser extent, Clone Wars for their DLC.

Yeah, I'm just worried that Battlefront 2 is going to focus too much on the new movies.

(I hope they make proper battlefield style vehicle spawns too instead of the token thing)

The issue for me atleast, is mostly that when I'm playing with 2 or more friends while we chat on the mic, one or more is not going to be able to spawn with the others, so if we are 3, that person is practically playing by himself on the bigger maps. If we are 4, it's better but still not optimal, as it'll often be two people in one place and two people in another.

Both players are credited with the kill.

It seems in the future, KDA ratio is be renamed KD ratio.

That's been the case going back to at least BF4. I don't think it's p2w at all. If I have the DLC there is no reason I shouldn't be able to use the equipment on other maps.

I have the DLC, but I still love the 40 player maps.

I really hope Deathstar DLC is 40 players, and more than the usual amount ship pickups.

A lot of really great changes! I've kept Battlefront on my PS4, even though I've moved on to other games, but, really, I've been waiting for the game to tidy up and this new patch seems to be it!

That sounds awesome, I wonder if the ships will feel different under zero gravity.
Fighter Squadron is amazing fun, hate that the rain stage almost never gets into rotation.

I ordered yesterday on PS4 from SimplyGames after seeing this trailer and generally the vibe I got was PS4 is the largest community. It was £12.99 with free 1st Class Delivery and arrived this morning.

Obviously that's just a disc copy and has no DLC.

Am I right in thinking the only way to get the DLC now is Season Pass and not individually?

Just out of interest is it worth picking up the Season Pass now? And cheapest I'll get it is £39.99 as it's just a digital download?

As a kill assist champion, I love this change! I can finally get some credit for my assists.
