Switch 2 Pre-Orders. Did you get one?

Bummed I couldn't get any preorders. Got my dates mixed up and missed the first wave, then haven't received anything from Nintendo despite meeting eligibility.

+ no way I'm waiting at GameStop or Target on launch.

Might just bite the bullet and spend the $100 eBay scalper tax
Really? Where you located? Kinda feel like anyone get's it here in Europe now.

Was close to my local Ebgames today so I just went in quick to pay my Haul in full.

I asked if I could add cyberpunk to the pile but she told me itll come out in a later date, wtv Im sure itll be there on june 5th.

I grew out of being an early adopter.

Game Sack recently did an episode on the Nintendo DS and it reminded me that the last console I bought at launch was the DS and I got to thinking about how fun it was to be to explore some of those games when they were fresh and just how novel some of it was in the moment.

It's not in my DNA to be an early adopter, but with console and game pricing not budging as much as they used to I feel like all I'd be doing is depriving myself of enjoying something while it's still new and exciting.

I don't know about anyone else but I preordered Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour. Yes it should be free but I like what I saw and I'm willing to spend 10 bucks on it.
You have no self respect and bad taste. /jk it's you money what do I care.

There will be a midnight event here in my neighborhood at June 4th to pick up the sw2 and buy additional shit. I have not gone to one of those since I was a kid.

Target has changed it to preparing to ship with estimated delivery on the 11th. Ugh. Playstation never fails with day 1 releases. Got both the ps5 and pro day 1. Nintendo whyyy.

That's only estimated though. Be annoyed when it is actually confirmed to be that date.

I was out of town and received a fraud alert from my card for a WalMart order. Guess which one?
I had to manually approve it.
My order isn't cancelled as of today but I'm getting a little worried.

(U.S.) I called all of my nearby Gamestops, and a couple of them are participating in the Wednesday afternoon walk-ins presales. One of them said that, in her opinion, they "are getting a lot" of extra units beyond the preorders they're already filling, and she said to stop by around noon and see how the line looks. "There's a good chance you'll get one."

If you haven't been able to score a preorder yet, and you're in the U.S. and have some Gamestops nearby, give them a call to find out of they're doing the Wednesday afternoon presales.

Great target still "preparing to ship, schedule to arrive Wed Jun 11." My killswitch case that I ordered today will probably arrive first… hate target.

I got two.

One was pre-ordered at Target. Unfortunately, they only had delivery as an option and it was the nerve-wracking first minutes of trying to get one so I won't get that one until June 11.

The second one, I had to get up early the next day and wait in line at Game Stop. I'll be getting that one at the midnight launch.

yes here in EU it seems easy. i just got nintendo online and was instantly able to pre-order one.
They're still advertising pre-ordering. I think the price have done it in a bit. Either that or Nintendo just really did bring the stock!

Looking forward to getting mine on Thursday. Mario Kart world just looks great.
Man my order from Nintendo has just been sat at "Completed" for the past couple of days, no info from shipping companies or anything.

Edit: Just got an update from Nintendo that it's ready to be shipped, though sadly Im in a country that is not guaranteed to get it by the 5th.

Do you not see this?

Nope, though to be fair I just today got an email (after I had posted originally) saying:

"We would like to let you know that your order MNS_IE_XXXXXX is ready for shipment.

We'll send another update when your order is shipped."

Just a bit confused how it sat at "Completed" for so long. Cheers tho!

They probably have shipping date calculations depending on how far the shipping address is from their warehouse.

The farther the shipping address the sooner the shipment goes out.

If its confirmed that stores like Gamestop, etc....are going to have many extra systems in the US for launch day for people who didn't get a preorder, then how the fuck has Nintendo themselves dropped the ball so bad with their "register interest" for a link to buy direct from them? You mean to tell me all these other numerous stores across the country will each have extra stock, but Nintendo themselves can't keep up? This has to be on purpose, because otherwise the level of incompetence on display is legendary.

My assumption would be that the majority of stock was allocated to retailers. Those retailers decided to hold back some of their stock for release day purchases without a pre-order.

That said, it does seem like Nintendo dropped the ballwith their direct purchase option. I got one email about a month ago saying that I was still in queue for it and that's been it. Meanwhile, it seems like European customers can just go on Nintendo's EU website and order for release day delivery.

Yeah when they announced their pre-order program I thought it was a brilliant way to launch a console while making sure all their most loyal customers received theirs first. Then I never got an invite despite owning multiple systems with thousands spent on games and thousands of hours of playtime, and nobody in my friend group got an invite either.

It's really a shame because they could have changed the future of all console launches for the better.

Just curious if you've seen anyone with a Target pre-order that's being delivered on June 5?

My Target order is still staying June 11 as well, but holding out hope that if it's preparing to ship now, it won't take that long.

I'm getting hyped, it's almost time!
I'm wondering how long after the Switch 2 launch that Nintendo is going to start back sending out invites

Got a canned email from Best Buy telling me what to know about my Switch 2 pre-order...nothing I didn't already know. All of my orders for the Switch 2, games and accessories saying "preparing for pickup on thursday"

Still wish I knew what the hell is going on with midnight release. My store is still listed on the stores that's doing one, but I want some damn confirmation. I tried calling the store, but oops, the stores don't take calls anymore, it goes to a call center...which put me on hold for 10 minutes and then hung up.

I think everyone's is the 11th, unfortunately. I was hoping to have it for the weekend.

I only spent the night outside a best buy for an xbox 360 with my brother....but i can't imagine doing it more multiple days. Nooo thanks.
I cant even do that even if I want to since my local EBgames store is inside a mall.

Besides I got my pr-order, I dont see any reason to do that.
