Locked 60 fps seems pretty sweet. There was no 60 fps on ps4.
Docked too?it's 30fps...
Oh. Maybe you're right? But the first video says. "I was really impressed. 60 frames per second. Really smooth."it's 30fps...
It looks like very smooth 30 fps with kinda high graphical settings, the textures look very sharpOh. Maybe you're right? But the first video says. "I was really impressed. 60 frames per second. Really smooth."
Yeah I think it's 40 because giving a better look, it's just too fluid for 30 fps...Either unlocked, or 40fps
Yeah thats a good guess. 40 looks a lot better than 30 FPS.Yeah I think it's 40 because giving a better look, it's just too fluid for 30 fps...
Do You mean FF7R?Wow, this looks great. Too bad I think FF7 is dumb, but I'm happy for people who want to play this on S2.
Eh no. Rebirth isn't as good as the first one. So many boring things with rebirth starting from the open area to the soldiers parade to the park and the hunted hotel. All of this shit was boring. Remake didn't have that touch fluff in it.Great game. I like Rebirth even more (but I could see actually liking this one more).
well I'm both wrpg and jrpg, at some point, I'm agree with You ; )![]()
(I'm not a jrpg guy)
No, it padded the game with several unnecessary walking sections just for the sake of it, I prefer actual contentEh no. Rebirth isn't as good as the first one. staff on the Final Fantasy booth have subsequently cleared things up, confirming that the game was actually running at 40fps

Final Fantasy VII Remake apparently runs at 40fps on Nintendo Switch 2

here I took 10 consecutive frames from the video, and labeled them like I think it corresponds to the in-game frames.

(btw. how insane is webp? this 1080p animated webp image using 10 frames is less than 2MB)
the surroundings (fingers, system itself) cleary move each frame, meaning it is indeed a 60fps video feed. but as you can see, the in-game frames only really update every 2nd frame. meaning it is locked to 30fps.
here are all frames separately in full quality:

I mean... it literally wasn't running at 40fps.
you can go frame by frame in the linked video, and the game only updates every 2 video frames.
Butkevboard counted all the frames by hand and found 30

This most definitely isn't 60fps or I'm too accustomed to 120+ and mistake 60 for 30.Locked 60 fps seems pretty sweet. There was no 60 fps on ps4.
The video is 60fps right? You can't count 40fps on a 60fps footage
I don't think this is a great way to do that without direct footage... I mean, you'll still get some frames repeating because it's not 2:1 factorI mean... it literally wasn't running at 40fps.

FF7R doesn't have random battles. Or are you referring to OG FF7?I'll definitely check it out. Was never a fan of random battles.
Right, 40fps. Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch 2 also runs at a "40fps" performance mode. Also, once PS5 updated to VRR it began offering a 40fps mode for many of its 1st party titles. So above 30fps but not 60fps.
That's EXACTLY what I'm referring to.FF7R doesn't have random battles. Or are you referring to OG FF7?
Cool CAPS.That's EXACTLY what I'm referring to.
I even thought it was 30 initially, but in fact, it looks too fluid, I'll wait for a proper analysis and meanwhile I'll be in the 40 fps campsure, but having exclusively double frames for 10 consecutive frames? very unlikely pattern.
but sure, it's not a 100% certain way to analyse this. however, I am betting on 30fps, or at least that there's a 30fps and a 40fps mode, while said video shows the 30fps mode
I think it'll be a December release. The lack of release dates this late in the year is really frustrating. Gameplay is great but when do all of these games come out?

Well that's nice but it's nearly September and it'd be nice to know. These dates are coming in lateI think it'll be a December release.

Did they add 6 ads in a 10 minute video? Sorry, got premium so I wouldn't know.

I'm looking forward to the Xbox port, myself. 4K/60 fps and achievements. And it's highly likely that the Xbox and S2 dates are simultaneous, so any news on the S2 version likely correlates to me being interested in an update. And speaking of ports of Square games, Harvestella would be great. Such a waste that it's stuck in blurry sub-30fps on poor old Switch, and only Steam as an alternative.Wow, this looks great. Pretty sure Harvestella runs at 60fps on Switch 2. You could always just play it there..I'm looking forward to the Xbox port, myself. 4K/60 fps and achievements. Yeah it definitely does not. It had minor boosts via straight back compat, briefly, but never an official patch. Certainly not a 60fps one. It doesn't matter anyway, it was pulled from the Switch 2 eShop because of save compatibility issues.Pretty sure Harvestella runs at 60fps on Switch 2. You could always just play it there..![]()

Except when it comes to indies. Many, many Indies (and smaller AA) have either come to Switch 1st, as a timed exclusive, or same day as the other versions or if they are late they are (usually) feature complete with updates/dlc etc.Nintendo = LTTP 4 life
