Taco Bell Testing $1 Folded Quesadilla "Stackers"

Taco Bell is trying out a new value menu item called a "$1 Stacker" that's basically quesadilla folded up for portability and to create multiple layers or "stacks."

While folding up a quesadilla doesn't bring much in the way of newness, the $1 price point makes it a cheap impulse buy.

Rather than chicken or steak, the quesadilla comes filled with the chain's seasoned ground beef along with 3-cheese blend and warm nacho cheese sauce. There also appears to be some creamy jalapeno sauce (or possibly chipotle sauce) and some pepper jack thrown in there.

The $1 Stacker has been spotted testing out in Birmingham, Alabama.

I never trust marketing pictures. Need to see unbiased pics or in-person. Also, I hate how they foil-wrap those mini quesadillas. The foil sticks to the quesadilla, and no matter how carefully I try to peel the fucker off, it always ends up in a scalding hot mess.

They got Taco Bell in shanghai now. So good.gif. It's like a weird upscale mix of the Taco Bell in Korea, with beer on tap and cocktails, as well as basically some standard US products...no real localized products like Bulgogi in Korea. Also it has decent coffee lol. You can see hipsters in their pretending it's a Starbucks. Just wanted to share even though slightly off topic. So stoked to eat Taco Bell again on the reg.

Not sure about this folding quesadilla idea though. Seems excessive.

Yeah, I don't get why they get hate. It's just an annoying meme at this point. Actually, anytime fast food is mentioned, there has to be some kind of over reaction like "omg what has humanity come to!1!!" or "my stomach is going to hate me!!"

Fast food is designed to taste good. Yes, it's unhealthy and shouldn't be eaten frequently, but the whole hate on fast food meme has really gotten old. It's similar to the irrational hate that pop music gets from certain people.

Indeed, the online ordering system is great.

Right now they've got a great deal for the $5 box, Triple Double Crunchwrap (which is frigging huge) Doritos locos taco, crunchy or soft taco, and drink. I usually throw on an order of the triple layer nachos for a $1.

I can vouch for the new bigger crunchwraps. They should have always been that size. Much better.
