In the fourth quarter, Rockstar is introducing an all new Grand Theft Auto title, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, exclusively for the PSP system. Returning to Liberty City, the setting of Grand Theft Auto 3, the title has an entirely original storyline with all new missions and the freedom, production value and depth of play comparable to other Grand Theft Auto titles.
GTA PSP Delayed to Q4 as expected, Warriors is also Q4.

Looking at the balance sheet, they have spent on around $100 million on something, I'm wondering what they bought? MLB/NBA licenses?

Fast cars and loose women.

Rockstar's financial year Q4. Which is August-October. The CEO actually let slip its a September release on the conference call.

Other tidbits on the conference call not in the pr:
8 games for Xbox 360 within 3-6 months of hardware launch.
Still looking into developing an unlicensed football game.
Haven't made a decision on if next-gen GTA will be going to either PS3, X360 or both.

Right, it's not calendar Q4. So they're going to release it at European launch, from the looks of it.

8 games: nba, nhl, college hoops, amped, top spin, oblivion , prey, ??? (mlb?)

I can't believe all those are going to be released withing 3-6 months of launch.

Well Izzy has been saying for quite awhile that we shouldn't expect it till then.
:lol

There is no delay for GTA Liberty City Stories.

They're talking about business years and quarters.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 2, 2005--Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTWO - News) today announced financial results for its second quarter and six months ended April 30, 2005. The Company's results reflect the three-for-two stock split completed in April 2005.

1st quarter Nov - Jan
2nd quarter Feb - April
3rd quarter May - July
4th quarter Aug - Oct

Take-Two is reiterating its guidance for the fiscal year ending October 31, 2005 of $1.3 to $1.35 billion in net sales and $1.40 to $1.47 in diluted earnings per share, reflecting the Company's three-for-two stock split.

The fiscal year ends October 31 (4th quarter). So we'll see GTA Liberty City Stories in the 4th quarter as it was always planned.

It was aimed at (fiscal) Q3, not Q4 before, so yes it WAS delayed.
Take-Two is updating its third fiscal quarter guidance to reflect the movement of the following products from the third fiscal quarter to the fourth fiscal quarter: Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for the PSP(TM); Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth(TM) for PlayStation 2 and Xbox; and Top Spin for PlayStation 2. The Company now expects $205 to $215 million in net sales and a net loss per share of $(0.05) to $(0.10) for the third quarter ending July 31, 2005.

They mentioned 8 titles in the "launch period" three or four times. When pressed on what they meant by launch period/window/timeframe they agreed with the analyst who questioned the terminology that within 3-6 months of X360s release was a fair assumption.

It has been delayed since their last quarterly fiscal announcement but the delay is old news and announced in their E3 press release for the game.

New York, NY - May 17, 2005 - Rockstar Games, the world-renowned publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), is proud to announce Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. Developed by Rockstar Leeds in conjunction with series creators Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories will be available exclusively on the PSP™ portable entertainment system in North America and Europe following the European launch of the PSP system on September 1, 2005.

Following September 1 ergo a FYQ4 release not a FYQ3 date.
