Ugh, that was fucking terrible. She's got a very pretty voice, but whoever was playing that guitar should be shot. He/she was all over the place, and the sound it was making just doesn't match up with her style of singing.enjoy bell woods said:Listen to Petra Haden's cover of "Yellow". On any given day it takes no more than 1 click of the mouse, if that, on their site for any literate person to discover that you are completely full of shit.Diablos said:Pitchfork is the most biased, snobby, unfair, overrated publication devoted to music on and offline. I have absolutely no respect for them, their site and their reviews whatsoever. They kind of remind me of what a stupid democrat would do to rival the Fox News Network - have an all democrat news network with left-wing versions Bill O'Reilly's and Sean Hannity's.
It's no different, really. They're like, trying to be the indie Rolling Stone, which is just as annoying as Rolling Stone's "if it ain't mainstream enough, no more than 3-3.5 stars unless we're in a really good mood or someone is paying us" mentality.
It would be wise of the pretentious fucks at Pitchfork to review indie music and indie music ONLY. We get it - anything remotely mainstream will likely get a 5 or less! So boring and predictable anymore.
"Maybe it's something to do with my haircut," he said. "Maybe we're too feminine for the masculine and too masculine for the feminine. Whatever we go through personally and publicly, we're so blessed because we have four of us and we're best friends, so we go through it together."
"That's the great thing about people who hate us," he said. "We can suck out the energy and make it into something positive. It's like in 'Back to the Future,' where you have this device that can turn garbage into a time traveler."
"As it is, from day one we've always put everything into it as passionately as possible and as naturally as possible, so we just have to accept it. No one can say that we don't work hard or we don't try hard. If people don't like it, they don't like it. What can we do about it? Nothing."
"To me, they're like Mount Everest or the Taj Mahal or the Sears Tower," Martin said. "They're a great, great thing. And if you're going to do something, you may as well aim to do something great. I'm not saying we're better than them. I'm just saying if you're going to aim for anything, you might as well aim for the best."

Optimistic said:Is this some sort of sick joke? I think you need to listen to The Bends some more. Maybe read the lyrics a bit, too. Seriously, that's some crazy shit right there.
Mugen said:I don't know if you get what I'm saying here but if Radiohead didn't evolve to producing OKC then Kid A and so on... then they will just be the exact same band as Coldplay for not experimenting or evolving on their sound. Bends is great but can you imagine if Radiohead didn't evolve at all and just keep releasing The Bends? I bet those supposed albums will still be way better than any album that Coldplay could muster but I'm glad that Radiohead did take the road they've taken and not just settling in one path which is safe.
