Thinks his PR is better than yours.
Honestly, I have never seen any other TV network butcher every fucking thing they put on screen. Everything is fucking edited so hardcore it's rediculous. I'm watching Starship Troopers right now, and NO TITTIES!!! What a worthless ass shower scene.....

Pulp Fiction was basically unwatchable, as they took out like half a fucking hour of it. They edit out the most rediculous of "swears."

"Someone made a big goll durn mistake!" Just 2 seconds ago when the light from the bugs asses blows up some ships. GOD DAMN, just say it!! "Someone made a big GOD DAMN mistake!!!"

Fuck you Turner Broadcasting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I fucking hate you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF, they're editing out any killing scenes, I didn't even get to see that guy get his leg cut off.... Teeth and then it cuts. Fuck!!!!!!!!!!!

Why the hell are you even watching Pulp Fiction on TBS?

Fuck you Turner Broadcasting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I fucking hate you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you can't curse or show either tittays or uber-violence on network tv? When did this happen?!

Overreact much?

Alot of networks /do/ edit out stuff like that. It should be common sense not to watch movies aired on TV if you don't want anything edited out..

I've seen it so many times, it's a fantastic movie. I was flipping channels one day and it was on so I decided to watch it. I found out how fucking horrible it was edited after like 5 minutes and decided to see just how much they took out.

I guess I've been spoiled by all our Canadian networks that swear and curse all the time, tittays are fair game, and violence isn't censored nearly as badly.

TBS just fucking sucks balls.

Ever see MadTV's "edited for TV" Sopranos? That's how I imagine all this going right now. Just scenes mixing together, cut-off mid sentence, complete lack of cohesiveness between scenes.

NO. It's MR FALCON.

That depends on which Die Hard actually. If you're talking about the would-be commando 2 die hard, then it's Mr. Falcon. If you're talking about Die Hard 4 then it's Melon Farmer.

There's a Die Hard 4?

Yeah, talking about Die Hard 2..such a classic on TBS. Sooooooooo funny. Do they even show part 1 on TBS? All I remember for 3 is 'I hate everyone'.

Oh yea, there were only three. ok it was three then.

I remember watching animal house on TBS as a kid, and then seeing it on like HBO or something and was like 'woah, it is a totally different movie!'

Even non-violent, non-swearing movies get butchered on TBS. They cut so much out of Edward Scissorhands that it's barely even the same movie. Edited for time my ass.

Also, mostly it's actually the studios that do the swear editing for movies. I don't mind it so much when it's convincingly done. Starship Troopers was actually pretty well looped.

TBS Help Desk: Hmmm Im rating this thread a funny.... You found yourself a hit sir...

:lol :lol

Me too.

I really like the TV Edited Mallrats. Wish I had a taping of that, makes a funny movie funnier, for similiar "MR. FALCON" moments.

You're an idiot if you expect that on TBS. Its part of standard cable but not that type of cable I guess your standards are at. Its FCC regulated most likely because of the accessiblity and the publication of the network. Dont be a moron and understand the demographic and the audience they are going for ISNT you and they have to make it viable for other people. Stop being a dumbass and figure out WHY before moaning like a retard who just had his toy stolen from him.

Ooooh, a feisty pro TBS aficionado. You're so saucy! That's almost a 1:1 ratio of insults to sentences!! Way to attack me on a personal basis, shows your lack of intelligence and inability to create a successful argument without resorting to childish behavior. Good job at turning a thread that was heading in the direction of light hearted humor, into straight up middleschool immature namecalling.

"This is what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps." = "This is what happens when you fuck a stranger in the ass."

I wish TBS and other commercial television stations would just stick to movies they can show without editing in the first place. There are a ton of PG-13 and PG movies released every year. What's the since in completely butchering something just so you can squeeze it on television with a bunch of ill-advised alterations?

Um why are you acting surprised? IT'S NETWORK TV OF COURSE THIS SHIT WILL BE EDITED OUT!

For fuck's sake... just go spend the $10 on the DVD and watch it that way.

I own the movie and basically most movies shown on TBS. Sometimes when you're flipping channels and somethings on you'll watch it, kinda the point of TV eh?? You don't always have to watch a movie off DVD.

I guess our much more lenient NETWORK TV THAT MOSTLY WON'T HAVE SHIT EDITED OUT! doesn't surprise me. I just was shocked by how badly TBS does it compared to most others.

So why pick on TBS instead of all US networks? They're all like that. Only extra-cost channels like HBO and the like will give you the full movie.

They're not all like TBS. Many of them don't butcher things as drastically to an extent TBS does.

Actually yes they do, if not worse depending if they are free broadcast network stations.

So stop complaining about it already, it's not like this is news to ANYONE.

I don't know why cable channels butcher movies like that.

Isn't cable not regulated by the FCC? Since it's paid for directly by the customers and some advertisers. The only REAL way a cable network chooses it's level of content is through what shows advertisers will allow commericals on.

It's not consistent. TBS butchers movies and television shows, yet FX seems like it can pretty much do what it wants.

I wouldn't call TBS network TV. You still pay for it. It's moronic to edit anything on cable. I'm not asking for hardcore porn but can I at least get the swearing. Shit, fuck, hell, damn should all be allowed.

Yeah, like TBS wants to get in a battle with the FCC over showing Starship Troopers in its pure form.

Question answered. :/

(look up info about how some advertisers wanted to stop sponsorship of TBS when Sex In The City was coming to the station)

Well, as dog$ basically said, advertising -> censorship.

I was flippin through channels once at like 2AM, and they were actually attempting to show Pulp Fiction on a *network* channel. They were all proud of themselves, "Stay tuned for the NETWORK PREMIERE of Pulp Fiction," this a decade after it came out.

The entire part where they talk by the trunk of the car, the whole classic "Foot fuckin' master" dialog... totally gone. It transitions instantly from them getting out of the car to going to the door. I just shut it off right there.

I said it was because it was because they choose to not because they're required to.

I know why, I just think it's fukken stupid.

Word. I also think Google should choose to stop showing ads. It's just stooped.

:lol :lol :lol Die Hard 2 edited is one of the funniest things I've ever heard. The Lethal Weapon edits are funny as fuck too. Thankfully I live in a country where the channels can show movies largely unedited after 9pm, so frankly I get the best of both worlds. :lol

Stating the obvious nature and character of your actions and the way you are acting like a child and this rebuttal of a response from a person with the uncultured language and an unintelligent way about complaining things. Wow, you my friend are hypocritical and bipolar individual. BTW it aint personal, your thread was messed up to begin with, and its pretty damn obvious to those that come within range or your actions. No normal person we act like that who has a sound mind and can figure out things like a normal person of society.

If you can't see this then "screwed am you."

TBS isnt your channel and isnt for you and you have found that out and I am glad. Keep on channel surfing to find what suits you. I would recommend the special paid cable channels such as Cinemax, Shotime and HBO. If you don't prefer that I would recommend a video rental store.

TBS ain't that bad. At least on friday nights I can still catch my fill of Family Guy and Futurama since Adult Swim isn't on. Better then TNT aka Law and Order Television (damn, I can turn to that channel anytime of the day and that damn show is on). AMC hasn't been to bad, they have been showing alot of popular 80's and 90's movies of late. In fact they just had Usual Suspects on the other night and it didn't look edited.

And he's going to get those channels in Canada...how?

For that matter, why does he even need 'em? He already said we get our movies almost completely free of this edited crap.

Perhaps you should read his posts a little more carefully before pontificating on their worth (or lack thereof).
